📈 Aktuelle Daten der Deutschen Stiftung Organspende zeigen: Die Organspenden sind bundesweit leicht gestiegen – auch in Baden-Württemberg, wo die Zahl der Spenderinnen und Spender von 108 auf 121 zulegte. Insgesamt wurden mehr Transplantationen durchgeführt; in Baden-Württemberg waren es mit 367 Organübertragungen 20 mehr als im selben Zeitraum des Vorjahres.

💪 Baden-Württemberg setzt sich gemeinsam mit anderen Ländern weiter vehement für die Einführung der Widerspruchslösung ein – um Hemmschwellen abzubauen und mehr Leben zu retten.

📝 Willen dokumentieren – Leben retten.

🩺 Wie können potenzielle Organspender besser erkannt werden? Welche neuen Entwicklungen gibt es in der Transplantationsmedizin? Dazu tauschten sich Expertinnen und Experten beim 4. Forum Organspende am Donnerstag in Stuttgart aus.

🫀 Ende 2024 standen in Baden-Württemberg über 930 Menschen auf der Warteliste für eine Transplantation. Häufig scheitert eine Organspende daran, dass der Wille des Verstorbenen nicht dokumentiert wurde und die Angehörigen sich dann oft dagegen entscheiden.

💬 Gesundheitsminister Manne Lucha sagte auf dem Forum: „Für mich ist die Gesetzesänderung zur Einführung der Widerspruchsregelung sehr dringlich. Weiterhin versterben viele Patientinnen und Patienten, deren Leben mit einer Organtransplantation hätte gerettet werden können. Immer noch können dringend benötigte Organspenden nicht durchgeführt werden, weil es an dokumentierten Zustimmungen fehlt.“

💪 Baden-Württemberg wird daher eine erneute Initiative zur Einführung der Widerspruchslösung im Bundesrat unterstützen.

👫 Deutschland liegt bei den #Organspenden im internationalen Vergleich auf einem hinteren Platz. Vergangenes Jahr sank die Bereitschaft, nachdem sie 2023 vorübergehend angestiegen war.
Nach Angaben der Deutschen Stiftung für Organspende haben im Jahr 2024 insgesamt 953 Menschen nach ihrem #Tod Organe für die #Transplantation gespendet, 2023 waren es 965.

💪 Gesundheitsminister Manne Lucha setzt sich für die Widerspruchslösung ein: „Die neuesten Organspendezahlen bestätigen erneut, dass auf der derzeitigen gesetzlichen Grundlage alle Möglichkeiten ausgereizt sind. Auch in Baden-Württemberg stagnieren die Organspendezahlen trotz engagierter Entnahmekrankenhäuser auf niedrigem Niveau. Wir brauchen die Widerspruchslösung als gesetzliche Grundlage für die #Organentnahme dringendst. Es darf nicht sein, dass die Initiative von #Bundesrat und einer großen Gruppe von Abgeordneten des Bundestages zur Einführung der Widerspruchsregelung in Deutschland durch die #Neuwahlen in dieser Legislaturperiode einfach nicht mehr weiterverfolgt wird.“
