Meanwhile I'm off to a wedding near #BerwickUponTweed on a #TransPennineExpress service. The signage of which seat is available and which one is not is very clear. I like.

I couldn’t reserve a standard class seat for this #TransPennineExpress train 2 weeks ago, and was advised I might have to stand for part of the journey, but bought a 1st class upgrade this morning and there are only 5 people in the carriage.
Will claim delay repay for the cancelled train on the way south, which will more than cover today’s upgrade.

Transpennine Express joining the big boys and providing hot food. But only on the flagship west coast route (Manchester/Liverpool to Edinburgh/Glasgow).
Wrong menu handed out, so it was macaroni cheese or cauliflower bake on offer. But very nice.
