This weekend, we celebrated my little one’s birthday in Capitol Hill—Seattle’s gayest neighborhood. Pride flags were everywhere, queer people surrounded us, and I felt such a sense of safety, belonging, and celebration. In our group of eight, only two were not queer—and for that moment, I wasn’t the odd one out. I felt the joy of being part of a majority—a community that embraced me just as I am.

I am so grateful to see my little one with like-minded friends, living free of the judgment and rejection I faced when I was young.

The dysphoria train is going full-speed, but it can derail and explode for all I care. I have a bit of a tummy, and it's got the spare-tire fat pattern I sorely wish to get rid of (or move up to my boobs, ideally). I'm wearing no makeup, and I have a bit of a 5 o'clock shadow I'm still getting lasered off. My neck/throat/chin area I don't love.

These past few weeks I've been trying to understand why its been so very hard to date or even get attention from girls in #France. I've been feeling unwanted and its made me almost want to go boymode just because maybe I'll get someone to like touch me that way
