The DoJ is demanding that the gender clinic at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) hand over all records, including names, social security numbers, birthdqtes, and addresses of patients.
Reminder - these are children.
CHOP is trying to fight it, as it seems to be a violation of patient rights under HIPPA, but who knows how the courts will decide.
My housemate's 12 years old nibbling, Max, is in those records.
We're going to try to get money together for passports for them (my housemate's sister, and her two kids) because as soon as the patient details are disclosed they will be flagged in a database to make things like getting passports more difficult. It looks like it's going to be around $650AUD for it all.
If you feel so inclined, it would be a great goodness if you could help.

Trans Jugendliche erleben signifikant häufiger Mobbing als cis heterosexuelle und cis nicht-heterosexuelle Jugendliche (Turban et al., 2022). Die hohe Rate nicht-heterosexueller Orientierungen unter trans Personen widerlegt zudem die Annahme einer Flucht vor homofeindlicher Diskriminierung durch Transition.

In Großbritannien hat die Regierung herausgefunden, dass Pubertätsblocker zwischen cis und trans Kinder unterscheiden können. Nur bei #trans Kindern bewirken sie schwere Gesundheitsschäden und wurden deshalb bei ihnen verboten. Außerdem sind sich Experten wie Cass sicher, dass dies evident und nicht aus politischen Motiven erfolgt.

Finally, at the start of July, #TransKidsDeserveBetter spent an incredible SEVENTY-FIVE HOURS occupying the front of the NHS England building as a protest against trans young people being kept out of decisions about their own lives. Their direct action was so brave – and a reminder that we need to listen to and show up for trans kids in their fight for dignity, healthcare, and a voice.
