A few years down the road...

This was one of the first dresses I ever had the courage to try on instore back in 2022. I remember having one of the biggest hits of euphoria in that dressing room that I just had to buy it. It took me another 4 months or so to work up the courage to wear it.

It's been a few years now, and I have a wardrobe full of cute dresses, but this one still has special meaning for me and is a good reminder of how far I've come.

I used to be way too serious...

It used to be an effort to smile for the camera. Most of the time, it just looked fake, so I just had to perfect a cool stare.

Nowadays, it is hard to wipe the smile from my face. My whole mindset is different. Just looking at myself in the mirror sometimes leaves me on a high.

I started a new insta as I feel like there might be something going on @jeanieb_nc as it is just so stagnant. At least this one doesn't have my ex-wife checking on me or family members who can message me about stories they find insulting because she thinks they have all been amazing. Kolejny zjazd ekipy niebinarnosc.pl zorganizowaxśmy przy okazji Międzynarodowego Dnia Osób Niebinarnych we Wrocławiu! Do naszego zespołu dołączyły też osoby z Łodzi, Poznania i Warszawy!

Rozmawiaxśmy czym dla nas jest niebinarnosc.pl i czym chcemy, by była oraz jakim kierunku zmierzamy jako organizacja. Zastanawiaxśmy się też, jakie kolejne działania chcemy podjąć.

Niedawno premierę miała książka Norman Erikson Pasaribu "Nie do końca szczęśliwe historie". Jest to zbiór opowiadań, który na język polski przełożyła Marianna Lis, a wydało wydawnictwo Tajfuny

Pasaribu jest niebinarną osobą autorską. Pochodzi z Indonezji z grupy etnicznej Bataków Toba, do której kultury często nawiązuje w swoich opowiadaniach. Znajdziecie w nich też dużo odniesień do chrześcijaństwa. Wiele osób bohaterskich w "Nie do końca szczęśliwych historiach" jest ze społeczności LGBTQIAP+.

„Ta książka opowiada o pamięci i jej braku. Jest taki cytat z książki Colma Tóibína „Miłość w mrocznych czasach" : „Jako osoby homoseksualne, z drugiej strony, dorastamy sami; nie mamy historii. Nie ma ballad o krzywdach przeszłości osób homoseksualych; tacy męczennicy są w większości zapomniani”. Jak mawiała Adrienne Rich, jeśli byłeś gejem, „spojrzałeś w lustro i nic nie zobaczyłeś”. Od czasu do czasu myślę o tym cytacie. Smutno mi było przyznać, że lustro nic mi nie pokazało, nie tylko gdy stawałom przed lustrem jako osoba queer, ale także jako osoba Toba Batak, jako osoba niebinarna, jako osoba z klasy robotniczej. W złożonych warstwach mojej tożsamości jest bezimienna ciemność, z którą nie mogę rozmawiać. Aby mieć mały wgląd w przedkolonialną kulturę Toba Batak, muszę przeczytać książki napisane przez białych antropologów. Ludzie sprzedają nasze rzeczy na aukcjach internetowych i są one sprzedawane za kwotę, na którą mnie nie stać. Ludzie nazywają to „artefaktami”, mimo że wciąż tu jesteśmy. Ta książka jest moją próbą przeciwstawienia się tym nieobecnościom". – mówi Norman w wywiadzie dla Shondaland.com.
