Yesterday’s late arrival: Elita-1 from #TransformersOne. Overall a really good portrayal of the character!
A few issues: It’s genuinely difficult to keep her chest tabbed in and her jet backpack attached, and I dislike her hands being covered up in robot mode. Vehicle mode is wider than I felt it was portrayed in the movie, but it’s a physical toy and sacrifices must sometimes be made.
Overall, I’ve felt that the TF1 Studio Series toys were all 7 or 8 out of 10, which may be a function of a rushed design phase. Still a great movie, and I hope to see more of the High Guard as toys in the future.

Finally got around to rewatching Transformers One tonight. It’s so great having an actual character-driven Transformers movie for a change. I *know* that Transformers can be well-written, it just seems to happen so rarely, especially in movies. Also it’s super pretty in 4K!
