🏴🚩 War super schön auf dem @abolish 🚩🏴

Am Sonntag durfte ich auf Abolish in Bern über Transformative Justice im Rahmen eines Workshop mit rund 60 Menschen ins Gespräch kommen.

Bei allerschönstem Schweizer Sommerwetter nahmen sich die Menschen Zeit, in Kleingruppen über zwei reale Fälle aus dem Leben zu sprechen und welche Alternativen es geben könnte, anstatt, wie hier geschehen, Menschen ins Gefängnis zu stecken.

Am Ende geht es vielleicht darum, aus dem Nachdenken über Alternativen, etwas mit ins eigene Leben zu transferieren: wenn wir mal wieder in einer Situation sind in der wir informell strafend agieren sollen, doch nochmal zu schauen, ob es hilfreichere Alternativen gibt: auch wenn diese auf den ersten Blick kräftezehrenden sein mögen, als einfach nur den Daumen zu senken.

"Unsere Arbeit ist deshalb ein Versuch, den vermeintlich »individuellen« Umgang mit Gewalterfahrungen zu kollektivieren. Übergriffe und machtvolles Verhalten passieren eigentlich überall und betreffen uns alle. Je nach Situation und Positionierung sind wir Auslösende oder Betroffene von Gewalt. Dabei passiert (sexualisierte) Gewalt häufig im Versteckten und führt zu Vereinzelung. Betroffene finden oft kein Gehör und müssen meistens den Scheiß mit sich selbst ausmachen. Wir finden es fairer und emanzipatorischer, die Verantwortung fur eine Auseinandersetzung mit der ausgeübten Gewalt auf mehrere Schultern zu verteilen.

Wir haben aus eigener Erfahrung gelernt, dass die Idee von Richten, Strafen und Polizieren nicht funktioniert. Also haben wir uns entschieden, andere Wege zu gehen und betroffenenzentriert zu arbeiten.

Es gibt keinen anderen Weg aus dem Patriarchat als die Emanzipation von Gewalt betroffener Personen!"

Workshop zu Transformative Justice: Wie können wir mit Gewalt (z.B. sexualisierter Gewalt oder Rassismus) in unseren Gemeinschaften umgehen, fernab von Straflogik und Justizapparat? Wie können wir kollektiv Verantwortung übernehmen, anstatt diese abzugeben? Was bedeutet Gerechtigkeit für uns und für die Welt, in der wir leben wollen? Und wie lassen wir von Gewalt Betroffene damit nicht allein? Der Workshop ist eine Einführung in Konzepte transformativer Gerechtigkeit und kollektiver Verantwortungsübernahme bei Gewalt. Vor allem wollen wir uns aber auch mit den Problemen dieser Zeit (Rechtsruck, Klimawandel, Sozialabbau,..) dort beschäftigen, wo wir leben und wirken: In unserem Stadtteil, unserem Kiez. I just found out California is trying to transform “mandated reporting to community supporting”. I hate being a mandated reporter. If I notice harmful behavior, I want to intervene using restorative and transformative measures. My #RestorativeJustice values encourage accountability and relationship repair. My #TransformativeJustice values provide structures to prevent future harm. A #MandatoryReporter cannot legally act within these values unless states do
