Seen in #Munich 🇩🇪 yesterday - and already several times earlier on, at the same spot: the private #Railadventure #Luxon, a former #DB #Rheingold #TransEuropExpress #TEE #DomeCar. Just five of them were built, in the 1960s. The car seems to have its home base here in Munich.

#SNCF 🇫🇷 #RGP units were built in the 1950s for long-distance trains, including #TransEuropExpress. They ended their careers on local duties, like #X2722 and #X2745 seen here at Bourg-en-Bresse around 2004. The latter one got an engine room door “second hand”, from a yellow unit.

60 (or so) years of German railway design evolution, seen at #Munich 🇩🇪 Hauptbahnhof earlier today: two 320 kph ICE 3neo class 408 trainsets (built from 2021 onwards) and, in the background, a former #TransEuropExpress #TEE first class open plan carriage with its narrow windows.

On board #ÖBB #DB #EuroCity 114 “Wörthersee” northbound to #Salzburg 🇦🇹 earlier today. This is a push-pull operation with a #DB 🇩🇪 class 101 electric at the rear. One of the 1st class carriages is a former #TransEuropExpress car from the 1960s, rebuilt several times since, yet still keeping some of its original design features. A cosy atmosphere in the compartment with its comfy seats!

Aufkleber auf dem Klo im 1.-Klasse-IC-Wagen: "Bitte hinterlassen Sie diesen Ort so, wie sie ihn gern vorfinden würden."
Darf ich das Klo also wieder in den Zustand zu Bundesbahn-TEE-Zeiten zurückbauen? Ich will meine schwarz marmorierten Wandverkleidungen wiederhaben!
Okay, Vakuumklo darf bleiben, aber sonst soll das bitteschön wieder so edel aussehen, wie es mal war!
Bei der Gelegenheit würde ich gern im Großraum die Sitze wieder drehbar machen.

I am travelling in “low cost” class wich is the cheapest option, yet it is incredibly comfortable: the open saloon coach is a former German #TransEuropExpress 1st class carriage.

From #Salzburg to #Carinthia on board #DB 🇩🇪 #ÖBB 🇦🇹 #Eurocity EC115 “Wörthersee”. The train is running on time and comes with a former #TransEuropExpress compartment carriage. Very comfortable!
Also: nice mountain views - difficult to capture though, at dusk, as the train speeds southwards.
