@Rasta Honestly, given some crappy interactions that BNSF has had with the city of Minneapolis regarding #MassTransit , my first thought was something to the effect of "Serves you right!" But I don't want people put in danger by #TrainDerailments either.

This has been happening in Fidalgo Bay and other spills ever since that refinery started up. It's a crime against nature TBQH. To get to the islands you have to pass by the refinery and see its cracking towers lit up at night. It looks kinda cool, but it's a symbol of the toxic legacy of colonialism.

Norfolk Southern is worth ~$55B. They had pledged ~$5/person in East Palestine, OH. Rudimentary math says that they should pledge something closer to $11M/person.

IMO, if a company destroys an entire region through negligence because safety upgrades to their trains would cut into their bottom line, they get to go out of business.
