Here's a fiddler friend of mine's recently released single of entitled "Do you know Bog Jazz?"
It's an interpretation of Irish Trad on electric guitar. Give 'er a listen!

Funny how I set out to write up 101 of my favorite #TradIrish tunes and it's taking some time to get past 15. The great thing is I'll keep plugging away.
Even though most of the music is from Sliabh Lauchra, I'm in no rush.*
Here's the thread from the beginning.

11) Gloaming 2
This Irish band was formed of already established artists. Seasoned veterans Martin Hayes, Dennis Cahill and Iarla Ó Lionaird (vocals). Trad "experimentalist" Coimhín Ó Raghallaigh on the hardinger fiddle and Thomas Bartlett, aka Doveman on piano.
This #TradIrish album is often haunting, often conveys a strong emotional sense of the blue note.
Track Cucanandy conveys much with the line "I wouldn't trade my pipes for all the wives in town".

Been here two days now and am getting a sense of the space. It reminds me of birdsite around 2009, when people had more conversations and less anger.
A few things about me. My interests include all sorts of music: #jazz #classicrock #funk #randb #soul #tradirish #blues #folk. I’m a weather nerd, fascinated by #tornadoes. There are too many #spices in my kitchen. I’m looking at you, #Penzeys! Love reading. Recovering #NewspaperJournalist. I write #fiction and enjoy a good laugh. -
Pups had a good day today: long walk, a run around the yard, 2 exhausting hours of bone-chewing outside, and then countless naps to make up for it all 😄

The guitarist is Matt Heaton, and his wife Shannon is the flautist: Here's a live #tradirish #pubsession (at home) they did a few years back, with him playing #irishbouzouki: https://youtu.be/-naMQauJMaw?t=191

Just came across this lovely #tradirish #irishflute (keyed) and #acoustic #guitar demo: https://youtu.be/JTowaAPjtJc?t=106

@kensanata Oh, it's neither actually ... it's going to be pretty much entirely focused on sharing sheet music that we (a small handful of us) create, audio renditions of those informal arrangements (created to help people practice for pub sessions), and encouraging people to play these (or ones like them), no matter where they live 😄
We're not a band, we just share our love of #tradirish and provide learning / play-along resources for anyone who's interested.
Whatever you think is best!
