Training at SISU (the running club) consisted of core exercise and long intervals. 1200-1000-800-600x2, resting time in between intervals 45 or 30 sec. The longer intervals in 10k tempo, the shorter in 5k tempo. Each interval the final 150m sprint. Coach said it is a mental training (sprinting when tired) as well as training to recover while running (short breaks). It went well.

First visit to the track in awhile. Feeling up to the push. I’ve been feeling soft lately, and not from being beat down by the relentless suck going on a 90 miles away on the Potomac. More a creeping unwillingness to be uncomfortable like I’m going complacent.
Anyway, nice re-intro to the track with two sets of 3x100, 1x200 followed by 3x100 and a cooldown.

£1 million worth of high performance #cars nicked in #Norfolk leading to a #trackday being cancelled..
Probably an inside job or someone from the car scene, these vehicles are kept specially for these events and don't even have normal registration marks (its also not clear how they were taken off site, it would be difficult to drive them any appreciable distance without appearing on a CCTV camera somewhere..)

took the Taycan to a track last week (Pacific Raceways). Briefly reached 142 mph on the straightaway. Had a lot of fun, even if I had to leave to recharge three times!
It's so nice having just wind and tire noise. As much as I love the sounds of a good ICE sports car, this is so chill and relaxed by comparison.
That, and I get to hear all the other cars' exhausts anyways!
Tweaking the .csv from the Sport Chrono system to get it to play nice with RaceRender was a real pain, tho. Timestamps were in the wrong format, GPS coordinates were in the wrong format, steering angle was reversed left/right..
