  1. This girl Katherine. Her father -a retired police chief- took us under his wing and gave us lots of tips and heads up. He has tried TPIR a few times, no luck.

She didn’t have a ticket, was a walk-on at the last min once those w/ tickets cleared. Worked out for her.

  2. This Rudolph guy was in my interview session with the producers. Dude rocked it with his well-rehearsed story. He’s a teacher. Talked about how he taught all over the state and then went to Prison…To teach there. As best I can tell, they pick one person per interview group. There’s no competing against that. Nice guy, too.

  3. Fun story: They shoot the two wheel-spin segments at the same time. Which makes sense given how small the set is. Just never thought about it until I saw it and the 💡 went off over my big bald head. Haha

  4. Woahhh it's THE Mighty Sound Effects Lady!
(Do I have at least one number right? ...
    HOOOONK)

  5. In other random consumer news… imagine a pickup truck a) costing only $US8950 in 1990 ($23,000 adjusted) and b) being small enough for an adult woman to see *over the roof*. 😂

Yes, sometimes I watch The Price is Right clips on YouTube. 😝 guilty pleasure. I loved Bob Barker!

  6. Anyone want to go to the Star Trek themed TPIR on 8/6? Seems pretty special. But I need a Trek friend. Tickets are now available.

  7. Saw some #TPIR in the breakroom, watching them spin the wheel while I get coffee. And I'm pretty sure The Price Is Right set has America's largest collection of incandescent light bulbs now. It's funny how anachronistic this show is and how it's leaning hard into that.

  8. Man, #TPIR is straight up leaning into being an anachronism at this point, what with the full video setpieces

  9. I've looped back around on Barker era Price is Right.

Some of these people are cosplaying as curtains.

Also guess how much a 15 day guided European vacation, complete Le Creuset set, and a Super 8 video camera costs in 1972?

$1,903. Both contestants overbid on their showcases by more than $1,000.

Even they were like, holy shit it's 1972, I could buy a house by emptying my piggybank.

  10. Starting a thread dedicated to #ThePriceIsRight, my favorite game show.

Dedicated to Bob Barker and everyone who is a fan of the show.
