Pretty but deadly. My first impression of this sweetly scented bloom was how lovely its curly and pointed purple petals were. Then I saw its spiny fruit pods … Did a bit of research and discovered it is a Thorn Apple plant, also known as Devil’s Trumpet and Jimsonweed, a toxic wildflower. So look but don’t touch.
