Canadian Moonseed (Menispermum canadense) is a woody vine that often intertwines with other species such as Riverbank Grape or Greenbrier and can at first glance look quite similar. Unlike those two other vines, which bear edible fruit, Moonseed plants and berries are toxic and have been used for medicinal purposes by indigenous people.
