She Needed a Villain. I Refused the Role.
Grab your iced coffee. And if you know me, you already know exactly what is sitting next to me right now: a large iced Tesora from Philz, extra sweet with heavy cream, the ice just starting to melt a little, and probably enough sugar to make a cardiologist send me a strongly worded email.
Settle in. Pull a blanket over your legs if you need to. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb. Today we are going all the way in. We are taking a deep, unflinching dive into a topic that I know so many of you carry heavily in your own chests: navigating toxic relationships, protecting your hard-won peace, and watching a one-sided rivalry completely implode from the relative safety of the sidelines.
For the sake of this story, we are going to keep things carefully anonymous. No real names (except mine, of course, and we’ll call the main character of this long, exhausting saga “Vanessa”), no careers, no cities, and no highly specific identifying details that could turn this into something it was never meant to be.
But the dynamic? The dynamic is something I guarantee you have seen before.
Maybe you’ve lived it. Maybe you’re still living it. Maybe you’re the one standing on the other side of the glass, watching someone desperately try to shatter a reflection they simply cannot stand to look at. This is the story of what happens when your peaceful, thriving life becomes a mirror that reflects someone else’s misery—and how they will burn their own house down, brick by brick, just trying to break that mirror.
To understand the present, we have to rewind. Not just a little bit. We have to go all the way back to the beginning of a friendship that existed long before I ever walked into the picture.
My husband (let’s call him C) and his best friend (let’s call him D) have been thick as thieves since they were literally in diapers. They have the kind of lifelong brotherhood that doesn’t just survive childhood mischief and teenage stupidity—it survives adulthood, distance, different life paths, and every ordinary and extraordinary hurdle that comes with growing up. They have inside jokes that are older than some of the people reading this. They are the kind of friends who can sit in silence for an hour and still feel completely at home with each other.
Vanessa is D’s wife.
For a long time, before I came into the picture, Vanessa was essentially the “only girl” in the boys’ club. If you looked at old group pictures from years ago—vacation photos, restaurant selfies, blurry candid shots—you’d see the same three faces over and over: C, D, and Vanessa. Traveling together. Hitting up the same restaurants. Taking those matching group photos that always somehow made it onto social media with captions about “the crew” or “my people.” Living that tight, closed-circle “three amigos” lifestyle.
Vanessa had a monopoly on the dynamic. She was comfortable. She was in control. She was the default female presence, the one whose opinions shaped the group’s plans, the one whose comfort level dictated what was acceptable. There was a clear order to things, and she sat comfortably near the top of it.
And then… I walked in.
Cue dramatic music. Except there really wasn’t anything dramatic about it. I wasn’t trying to replace anybody. I wasn’t trying to infiltrate some sacred friendship circle. I wasn’t standing outside their house wearing camouflage and holding binoculars. I simply fell in love with my husband. He fell in love with me. We built a life together. That was it.
We built a relationship that was calm, respectful, affectionate, and mutually supportive. From the very beginning, there was a natural ease between us—real ease, the kind that doesn’t require constant performance or emotional labor just to keep the temperature stable.
But from literally day one, Vanessa’s energy toward me was completely off.
It wasn’t the normal, slightly awkward “getting to know the new person” energy. It was a deep, bitter, territorial resentment that arrived fully formed, as if she had already decided who I was and what my presence meant before we’d exchanged more than a handful of sentences. Over the years, that resentment didn’t soften. It calcified. It morphed into a full-blown, one-sided obsession.
To be absolutely clear: my husband and his best friend still hang out. Their lifelong brotherhood is fully intact. But the “three amigos” era? That is entirely dead. My husband simply refuses to hang out with her. When he is forced to be in her presence at a gathering, he gives her the absolute bare minimum of polite, detached courtesy. He acts like a digital pacifier—tossing an occasional “like” on her social media just to keep her from throwing a paranoid tantrum at D—but he is completely inaccessible to her drama. She successfully isolated herself from his genuine friendship, all while blaming everyone else especially me.
The internet has approximately seventeen million words for difficult people: Narcissist. Gaslighter. Manipulator. Control freak. Toxic. But those words get thrown around so freely nowadays that somebody can forget to text you back and suddenly TikTok has diagnosed them with six personality disorders.
None of those words quite capture Vanessa’s specific brand of chaos. So, I had to invent a new word for the dictionary. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce:
Victator (noun): A person who operates as a ruthless, controlling dictator in their relationships, but maintains their power entirely by playing the helpless victim.
Example: “She threw a massive tantrum and forced her kids to block people on social media, proving she is a classic Victator.”
Vanessa is the ultimate Victator. She wants to make every decision, but she also wants everyone to frantically acknowledge how overwhelmed she is. She wants to run everything, but somehow everything is also happening to her. She wants total power without a shred of accountability. She wants martyrdom with executive privileges. It is actually impressive to witness.
One of the most exhausting parts of dealing with a Victator is what I call Competitive Over-Functioning. This is when a person insists on doing everything themselves and then becomes furious that they are doing everything themselves. She will complain—loudly, repeatedly, to anyone who will listen—that she does absolutely everything: the cleaning, the parenting, the organizing, the invisible work that no one appreciates.
And yet, she will explicitly forbid anyone else from helping. She will reject offers of support with a performance of long-suffering independence, only to later use that same “hard work” as a scorecard.
A marriage shouldn’t feel like an Excel spreadsheet where somebody is calculating emotional billable hours. But for a Victator, guilt is her currency. Anxiety is her weapon. She deploys both with practiced precision. Living near a Victator is like living next to a weather system that never moves on. Everyone starts monitoring the horizon for the next storm, even on perfectly clear days.
If you look at Vanessa’s social media, you will see a carefully curated PR campaign. Soft lighting. Pictures of her with her kids captioned “my mini me!” Captions overflowing with gratitude, about family, about how deeply blessed she is. The flawless facade of a happy, thriving, tightly knit unit.
But behind closed doors? The reality is so dark it’s actually heartbreaking. Let’s talk about how the people in her life actually experience her.
The Spouse: Her husband is literally living in a hostage situation. He walks on eggshells so aggressively, so constantly, that his physical health is failing. He is dealing with stress-induced chest pains because of her daily emotional abuse. She trivializes his feelings. She minimizes his contributions. She makes him feel, day after day, like he is failing at the basic job of being a husband and a father. He is currently running on fumes, quietly plotting a total escape plan—not because he wants drama or revenge, but because he is desperately trying to survive his own life.
The Kids: Kids are smarter than we give them credit for. You can only use them as pawns for so long before they realize they are pieces on a chessboard. Vanessa is so desperate for control that she actively audits her teenagers’ phones. She forces them to block and unfollow me—not because I’ve ever said a single unkind word to them, but because my existence soothes nothing in her, and therefore must be digitally erased. She thinks she’s teaching them loyalty. What she’s actually teaching them is that their mother’s love is conditional, heavily micromanaged, and entirely dependent on their willingness to participate in her insecurities.
The In-Laws & Friends: Everyone sees it. The in-laws know. The old friends know. They see a woman who refuses to act like a partner—who makes unilateral decisions (like hosting a child’s birthday party without even consulting the father) and then frames any pushback as a vicious attack. They see the isolation tactics: the quiet, consistent work of cutting off or icing out relationships with anyone who might shine a light on the toxicity.
So, why does she hate me so much? It’s simple, and it’s not actually about me at all.
C and I are a mirror. She looks at our relationship and sees a husband who deeply respects his wife. She sees a household filled with peace, ordinary laughter, and zero manufactured drama. She sees the absolute opposite of the emotional prison she has meticulously built and continues to maintain.
Imagine walking around in darkness for so long that your eyes adjust. Then somebody opens the curtains. The sunlight isn’t attacking you, but it still hurts your eyes. That is what comparison does. And instead of asking, “What can I improve in my own life?” some people decide: Turn off their light.
Absolutely not. I paid the electric bill. The light stays on.
Over the years, I have maintained the absolute highest of high roads. C and I buy her kids beautiful, expensive birthday gifts. We send generous wedding gifts to her extended family members. We drop polite, cheerful messages in the group chats. We show up to the required events with clean energy and absolutely no agenda.
And it drives her insane.
A Victator needs a villain to function. If I am kind, generous, and unbothered, she has no excuse to play the victim. So she creates a fake reality. She will literally text me privately saying, “We have no beef,” while simultaneously running around her house forcing her daughters to erase me from their social media.
She is so unhinged in her need to control the emotional narrative that her husband recently had to lie to her and pretend he bought the birthday gift C and I sent their daughter, just so she wouldn’t throw a jealous tantrum over seeing our names on the packing slip.
Sit with that for a second. A grown man has to hide an act of simple, generous kindness from his own wife because joy—someone else’s ordinary, non-competitive joy—is a trigger for her rage.
Let me be completely honest with you. Protecting your peace is a beautiful concept, but in practice, it takes a massive amount of self-control. There are days when the high road feels more like a tightrope. There have been moments—especially when the passive-aggression is thick in the air at a family gathering, and I am watching her spin her little webs—where the human part of me just wants to drop the hammer.
Everyone has a “break in case of emergency” script in their head. I have one for Vanessa. It is clinical, ice-cold, and entirely factual. If I ever reached the point of no return, if I ever decided that the high road was permanently closed and I wanted to dismantle her fake reality right to her face, this is exactly what I would say to her:
“Vanessa, the only reason I have stayed quiet this long is because I genuinely pity you. You spend your entire life running around trying to convince everyone that you are in control, but every single person in this room knows the truth.
We all see the reality of your marriage. We all know your husband walks on eggshells just to survive being in the same house as you. You are so deeply insecure and unstable that you have to literally force your own children to block people on their phones just to pretend you have some shred of authority as a mother.
You hate me because my husband actually respects me, and my life is filled with the peace and love that you are entirely incapable of creating in your own home. So keep posting your fake pictures, keep forcing your kids to hate the people who actually care about them, and keep living in your miserable little prison. But you will never, ever project your failures onto me again. I am entirely done with you. Do not speak to me again.”
Saying those words out loud would be incredibly satisfying for about five minutes. It would leave her completely speechless. It would completely shatter what is left of her fragile ego. It would expose her biggest secret: the fact that everyone already knows her husband is miserable. It would strip away her “Mother of the Year” facade and expose the Instagram blocking for what it is—pathetic, terrified insecurity.
But here is the reality about the nuclear option: once you press the button, you have to deal with the fallout. And frankly? My peace is worth far more than her destruction. She is already destroying herself; she doesn’t need my help. Keeping that speech safely tucked in my back pocket is power enough.
You cannot live your life as a human wrecking ball and expect your house to stay standing. The long-term effects of Vanessa’s behavior are already visible, and they are catastrophic.
If your goal is to separate somebody from everyone you dislike and you eventually succeed, you didn’t necessarily win. You may have simply created a lonely household. If every friend becomes suspicious, every relative becomes a problem, and every disagreement becomes a betrayal, eventually your circle gets very small.
Eventually, the house of cards is going to fall. You cannot gaslight a man into chest pains, trap him in a cycle of emotional and practical constraint, isolate his children from healthy outside relationships, and expect him to stay forever. The breaking point is coming. It is entirely of her own making. The mirror didn’t create the misery. The mirror only showed it.
Years ago, Vanessa’s behavior would irritate me. I would analyze everything. Why did she say that? Why did she unfollow me? Why is she acting differently in person?
Eventually, I realized I was donating entirely too much mental real estate to somebody who wasn’t paying rent. So I evicted the situation. Not physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Spiritually. Goodbye. Security deposit forfeited.
Because peace isn’t just about removing chaotic people from your physical environment. Sometimes peace means removing them from the conversation happening inside your own head. You cannot clarify your way out of somebody else’s chosen narrative. Once I understood that, I stopped preparing closing arguments for imaginary court cases. Believe whatever makes your day easier. I’m going home.
I am currently stepping into the most beautiful chapter of my life. C and I are growing our family, and my priorities have completely shifted. When you are genuinely happy—when your days are full of people who treat you with care—the chaotic tantrums of a bitter, insecure person start to look like a bad high school play. You stop being angry. You start feeling a clinical, almost detached pity.
There will inevitably be family gatherings in the future. Younger Tina might have spent three days mentally preparing for the awkward energy. Current Tina? Baby, I’m deciding what I’m wearing. That’s it. I will show up. I will look gorgeous because I feel good in my own skin. I will be polite because politeness costs me nothing. I will eat somebody’s food, find the dessert table, and go home surrounded by an energetic forcefield of pure peace that her misery cannot penetrate.
If you are dealing with a Vanessa in your life—a Victator who wants to drag you into their manufactured storm—my biggest advice is this: Do not pick up the rope.
Imagine somebody standing across from you holding a rope. They want conflict. They want competition. They want you pulling from the opposite side. But tug-of-war requires two people. If you don’t pick up the rope? They’re just standing there holding a piece of string, looking ridiculous.
You want to secretly dislike me? Enjoy. You want to analyze my marriage? Bring snacks. You want to create stories about me? Please make me interesting. Just spell Tina correctly. Because I am not participating.
People love dramatic revenge stories. The exposed messages, the huge argument, the grand finale. But adulthood taught me that some of the best revenge is painfully boring. It is a completely unbothered, deeply happy life. One that continues, quietly and steadily, whether they are watching or not.
Let them run their imaginary races. Some races are better watched from the sidelines. Especially when you never even entered.
Until next time, keep your boundaries strong, your home peaceful, and your coffee irresponsibly sweet!
— Tina

Trying sooo hard this morning to be the change I wish to see in this world.
Trying. Very hard. The toxic jerks out there do not make it easy.
Responsibility Restores Agency
(adding to my post about setting healthy boundaries with abuse survivors)
The reason that getting pushback against letting their toxicity spill out is so important to abuse survivors is that it forces them to make a decision: Do I WANT to let the toxicity spill out to others?
If they answer with yes or that they don't care, then they're deciding to be abusers. They'll deny and rationalise it, but that's what it comes down to.
If they answer with no, then they FINALLY have an antidote against that deepseated, horrible shame that probably ate at them since they were tiny: I can work on avoiding specific, toxic behaviours and that is GOOD ENOUGH. I am not bad or tainted to my core. I am ok as who I am and I have agency to work on my behaviour from that foundation onwards.
What abuse survivors (and anyone else for that matter) need more than anything is agency, not false reassurances or platitudes. Don't make unreasonable demands, do point them to support if possible, but stay honest about whether or not they caused harm. You can be as gentle or abrupt as seems appropriate in the circumstances, just don't lie to them.
And remember: Your boundaries, needs, perspective and voice matter!

I'm driving, stopped at an intersection, looking to turn left. It's busy, and there's no left turn signal and no gaps in traffic. Guy behind honks at me, expecting me to go when THERE IS NO AVAILABLE SPACE TO DO SO. He turns on his brights to be a jerk. I call his next move "as soon as I turn he's gonna speed around me on the right." I make my turn, he does exactly as I predict. License plate is "AI LOVE"
WOW, who could've seen THAT coming? #ai #ToxicPeople #LosAngeles #PredictableDouchebags
@staringatclouds She had resigned. Then secretly manipulated & soldiered up people, using lies. Then rejoined nonprofit only to hijack board meeting on Sunday - knowing my partner was working out of town & unable to attend. All of this toxic & unethical shit isn't how any decent nonprofit society operates. They literally gave control to a lying bully on a vengeful ego power trip; who is trying to punish my companion for enforcing his personal boundaries & refusing to let her keep attacking me out of jealousy. Never trust anyone who lacks humility, lies without blinking & uses manipulation to fool others.
Fucking disgusting person💩🗑
Fucking foolish folks who opted to side with & reward a toxic manipulator 🤮

It's pretty bittersweet how some white saviour women think they know better than the peoples in Indigenous marginalized communities that they lack lived & working experiences with, on rez & are supposed to be serving. It's foolish to ever think you'll get 100% community support on any native rez - never happened in all the years band councils were ever established. You can't be arrogant enough to think you know better than everyone else. You can't ever think you're irreplaceable too - all of us are replaceable in work arenas. You can't put your ego above bigger community needs. To do so is to put yourself & your inflated ego, over everyone else - that blocks genuine, purposeful & essential collaborative work. You choose to put greater good over your own inflated ego. That is part of true maturity.
My long thread on #EmotionalAffairs & the damages they cause will be delayed until I return from Yellowpoint trip next week. Due to heavier than expected work week & the fact that me & my companion are still having to deal with more unnecessary BS from his toxic coworker who has inappropriate feelings for him. She's resorted to trying to drag more personal business into work business - which is very unethical & unprofessional. This is someone unable to deal with their own personal butthurt feelings, unable to face real life consequences for choosing to be abusive/manipulative/dishonest in the shadows & wanting to 'punish' both of us for confronting her directly, telling her to grow the fuck up, to stop trying to drag personal biz into work biz & to get herself some therapy to stop being so shady & manipulative.
We are now both facing fugly & shady #SmearCampaign from someone who demanded that we break up, angry that we are not doing that but are staying together & standing together. We aren't going to let one toxic person, who is seriously lacking humility, to stop us from doing a lot of necessary community work.
@Aurin_the_classtraitor Extra prayers to protect my companion from more vindictiveness from butthurt person🙏. All he did was establish very clear work boundaries, end the dysfunctional emotional affair that he didn't realize he was in until she flipped out upon finding out we're dating, tell me the truth about how she's trashed me & demanded that he dumps me & remove her from his small business coordinator role. He was doing his best to separate his own business & his personal life from her. She had agreed to keep working with him to complete tasks for nonprofit that they were partway through & in less than 24 hrs, did 180 flip, resigned & now trying to drag more people into the personal shitshow that she created without being fully honest. When the bully pretends to be the victim is what we're basically dealing with.
Toxic people who feel rejected & are unhappy with their own lives are some of the nastiest, vengeful people ever. No one needed this shit in the first place. It blows my mind what lengths some people will stoop to, only to avoid taking responsibility for their own manipulative actions.
If you're not very experienced with covert abusers, especially in work related atmospheres - this may help you to not enable them.
#PersonalSafety #ToxicPeople #ProtectYourself #DoNotEnable #CovertAbuse
The toxic person took her trashy abusive self out of our lives today. It happened shortly after she got pissed off about being called out on phone call where the chief was there. She tried to deflect things & wasn't open to transparency. Then tried to emotionally blackmail my partner again & failed again. Then attempted to hold password to his business & to nonprofit society files hostage until he brought in digital creation guy & got password back. He'll be changing passwords immediately too. Everything I predicted she'd try to do - she did. Textbook covert abusers are somewhat predictable because they use the same manipulative playbooks.
#AbusivePeople hate #transparency. If you're forced to deal with them - ensure you're never alone when communicating with them. Protect yourselves & always have at least one witness around.
The only people who try to piss upon the joys, love & happiness of others, are people who are not really content with their own lives. Their energies would be better spent on making changes to their own lives instead of trying to meddle & destroy other people's lives, fueled by their own unhappiness & insecurities.
I pray for folks like that to learn how to heal themselves from their own darkness. I never want to stoop to their lower levels. I've forgiven folks like this - when they take ownership of their own actions, demonstrate humility & have worked hard to change their toxic & hurtful ways. I don't blindly forgive.

ARE YOU SURROUNDED BY ATTITUDES AND IDIOTS? | LANCESCURV
Understanding the Nature of Idiots
You ever notice how some people just seem to exist to test your patience? Whether it’s a coworker with an overinflated ego, a driver who cuts you off only to blame you, or even a family member who drains your energy just by being in the room—idiots are everywhere. You’re not imagining things. The world is full of them, and they thrive in environments that reward ignorance, arrogance, and negativity.
For the Black community, dealing with these people takes on an extra layer of stress. We already face societal challenges, systemic oppression, and cultural struggles—so adding unnecessary fools to the mix only makes life harder. The question isn’t whether you’ll encounter them but how to keep their foolishness from stealing your peace. If you don’t manage them properly, their energy can wear you down, robbing you of your focus, success, and even your health.
The real danger of idiots isn’t just the frustration they cause in the moment. It’s the long-term damage they do to your mind and spirit. They can destroy your confidence, kill your productivity, and turn even the best environment into a battlefield of drama and negativity. Worse, their toxicity is contagious. Spend enough time around them, and you might find yourself thinking, speaking, and acting in ways you never intended.
So, how do you protect yourself? How do you keep them from infecting your mind, ruining your day, and stealing your joy? More importantly, how do you survive in a world that seems to be designed to test your limits at every turn? The solution isn’t just to complain about them—it’s to develop a strategy. You need the mental tools to recognize them, neutralize them, and keep them from having any real impact on your life.
This discussion/advice segment is about survival. Not just dealing with idiots, but thriving despite them. If you’ve ever walked away from an argument feeling drained, lost sleep replaying foolish conversations in your head, or felt your energy sucked away by a toxic person, then this is for you. It’s time to learn the tactics that will keep your peace intact, no matter who tries to shake it.
Recognizing the Idiots in Your Life
The first step to protecting yourself is identifying the idiots around you. They come in many forms—the loudmouth who always has an opinion but never any wisdom, the manipulator who twists words to make themselves look good, the drama magnet who thrives on chaos, or the subtle energy drainer who leaves you feeling exhausted after every conversation.
A good rule of thumb: If someone consistently makes you feel small, drained, or anxious, they might be an idiot. Pay attention to how you feel after dealing with them. Are you questioning yourself? Feeling irritated for no reason? If their presence changes your mood in a negative way, they’re likely a problem.
Idiots can be dangerous to your mental health. Studies show that constant exposure to toxic environments raises stress levels, increases blood pressure, and can even shorten life expectancy. These people aren’t just annoying—they’re harmful. Their negativity isn’t harmless background noise; it’s a slow poison.
Another problem with idiots is their ability to manipulate situations. They make themselves seem like the victim, twist conversations to suit their narrative, and make you question your own perception of reality. The more you entertain their nonsense, the more they gain control over your emotions and thoughts.
Worse, they spread their foolishness like a virus. When you’re constantly around people who are negative, dramatic, or combative, you start adopting their energy without realizing it. You might find yourself becoming more defensive, irritated, or emotionally exhausted. That’s why identifying them early is key—it allows you to cut them off before they take up too much space in your life.
Survival Tactics: Protecting Your Peace
The most powerful weapon against an idiot is calculated indifference. They thrive on reactions—anger, frustration, engagement. The moment you stop feeding them, they lose power over you. Not every battle is worth fighting. Ask yourself, Does this person deserve my energy? Most of the time, the answer is no.
Another key strategy is emotional control. Idiots want to provoke you into reacting emotionally. But when you stay calm and composed, they don’t know how to handle it. Instead of engaging, take a deep breath, respond only if necessary, and do so in a way that’s calm and direct. Nothing disarms an idiot more than realizing they failed to shake you.
When you can’t avoid a toxic person, build a psychological shield. Think of them as a predictable character in a bad TV show—same drama, same behavior, different day. This mental trick helps you detach emotionally so their words and actions don’t have the same sting. Instead of thinking, They’re attacking me, shift to Here they go again with the same nonsense.
In cases where avoidance isn’t possible, set clear boundaries. Be direct and leave no room for misinterpretation. Say things like, I don’t entertain these kinds of conversations, or If you continue, I won’t engage. Never get sucked into debates—idiots twist words to keep you trapped in their foolishness.
And sometimes, the best move is simply walking away. No salary, friendship, or obligation is worth sacrificing your mental and emotional well-being. If a situation is consistently toxic, remove yourself from it. There is no shame in protecting your peace.
Sealing the Deal: Keeping Idiots Out of Your Life
Now that you know how to deal with idiots, the final step is ensuring they don’t keep creeping back into your life. Protecting your peace isn’t just about avoiding negativity—it’s about creating an environment where negativity has no space to exist.
Start by being mindful of who you allow in your circle. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, support you, and encourage your growth. When your life is filled with positivity, the presence of an idiot becomes obvious and unacceptable.
Next, learn to let things go. Some arguments aren’t worth winning. Some people will never change. You don’t need to prove yourself to fools. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is walk away and let them drown in their own stupidity.
Also, reclaim your mental energy. How much time have you wasted replaying conversations with toxic people? How many nights have you spent thinking about things you should’ve said? Take back that energy. Focus on your goals, your growth, and your well-being. The less attention you give idiots, the less power they have.
Finally, make peace a non-negotiable priority. Set boundaries, choose your battles, and refuse to let toxic people have any say in your happiness. True power isn’t about winning arguments—it’s about controlling where you invest your energy.
So, ask yourself: Who in your life is draining your energy? And more importantly, how can you start taking that power back today?

#ToxicPeople in #BritishColumbia preying on multiple Indigenous communities in Canada thread. Feel free to add your own, similar toxic shitbuckets of Canada to my list - which will be updated with other pathological liars running their shitgames all over BC.
This one is a mentally unstable, unmedicated bipolar nutjob who abandoned her only child & has lived out of motels/car for several years. Sex work is how she gets money. I have nothing against sex workers except for ones like her who try to traffick vulnerable young native girls & desperate older native women to get into sex work too - when they don't want to. I have a lot against ANYONE who tries to buy people with money & gifts as well - this is her way to get in with multiple naive ppl.
This #pretendian claims to be Cree. She is not #Indigenous whatsoever.

Matt Mullenweg has gone too far
In case anyone missed it, Matt Mullenweg decided to drag WordPress.org into his temper truntum over WP Engine. This is what it looks like if you want to log into WordPress.org these days:
You now have to tick a box saying “I am not affiliated with WP Engine in any way, financially or otherwise.”
Then, because was not done turning the WordPress ecosystem into a toxic hell hole, he forcibly forked the plugin ACF and renamed it SCF.
But whatever my feelings about private equity in general or Silver Lake’s management of WP Engine in particular, I care far more about the integrity of open source licenses, and that integrity is under direct assault by Automattic’s grotesque claim for WP Engine’s revenues.
Mullenweg’s ego is only negative for the Open Source community in general and devastating for the WordPress community. None of us asked for this unprofessional power trip. This benefits no one but Mullenweg. And that’s just fine for him. After all, as far as Mullenweg is concerned, WordPress is his and his alone.
“WordPress.org just belongs to me personally,” Mullenweg said during an interview with The Verge.
Matt Mullenweg: ‘WordPress.org just belongs to me’, The Verge
That’s just fine. WordPress is Open Source code. Just like WordPress was a fork of b2 FreePress or whatever comes next can as easily be a fork of WordPress and there’s not a damn thing Mullenweg can do other than scream and throw his toys out of the pram.
I suspect that he wants to go on calling WordPress open source while also ripping up what that means to demand money from the people who enjoy using WordPress for fun and profit.
But I suspect Automattic wants to have their cake and eat it too. They want to retain WordPress’ shine of open source, but also be able to extract their pound of flesh from any competitor that might appear, whenever they see fit. Screw that.
Perhaps it is time for a change of name so we can get rid of Mullenweg’s ego and get back to creating CMS and blogging software for the community.
If there are any serious proposals to fork WordPress, I want in.

I had not known the term until The Atlantic article last year.
When you search for "Dark Triad" and "narcissist," you will find several publications.
If really 7% of the population (1 in14) belong to this kind of irredeemably #ToxicPeople, we'd all better learn how to deal with them.
A business contact of mine who deals with their victims professionally, says that they cannot be "cured." It's either avoidance or detailed counter strategies.

Clearing a Path Towards Health and Happiness: Nurturing vs Toxic People | By #MartySeldman, Ph.D.
"I suffered way too long in a personal/professional relationship. Not only did I miss glaring signals, I ignored actual warnings. I expected too little and I tolerated too much.
"Finally, when I could feel that my health was at risk I acted to protect myself..."
