2 bits of Douglas Adam’s writing that I re-read often, real comfort reading for me:
1. Restaurant at the End of the Universe where they meet the Ruler of the Universe (And his cat, The Lord).
2. The story Arthur tells Fenchurch in So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish about his cafe visit before a train journey.
Both amazing examples of succinct, simple, entertaining and insightful story telling.
He made it look easy, though it was very hard for him.
