The Irish seem much more proud of their nation than the English are. But it’s not an aggressive pride; it’s more of a “hey look, this is Ireland, be happy! This is proper Irish, check it out!” (even if it isn’t really) sort of thing. Or maybe I’m just being a total tourist. #touristing

Usually try not to order Starbucks when I'm traveling but it's what's available in the lobby of this conference hotel in Baltimore during a short break. Two observations on differences between here and Seattle: a 12 oz iced mocha only cost me $4 even, and they sell hard liquor and cocktails in cans and bottles.
