Frage | Externes mobiles 8" Touchscreendisplay mit Mikro und Lautsprechern?

Hallo, derzeit habe ich ein Smartphone und ein Tablet. Beides ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und muss ersetzt werden. Da ich immer nur eines von beiden gleichzeitig benutze, kam bei mir die Frage auf ob es nicht vielleicht so was wie ein mobiles grafisches Touchscreen Terminal gibt, das ich einfach mit dem neuen Smartphone koppeln kann, um es darüber zu nutzen.

Kennt jemand von Euch etwas entsprechendes? Gibt es für so was schon eine griffige Bezeichnung nach der Man suchen kann? Wer kann mir da Tipps geben?

Csináltam egy merészet.

Van egy Lenovo Yoga 11e tablet PC-m. De, Linux alatt egyszerűen sosem működött a tablet funkció.

Hat éve van nálam, de együtt tudtam ezzel élni, mert igazából nekem egy valóban kis laptop kellett utazásokhoz, ha ügyet kellett oldanom alapon.

Sosem használtam ki tabletként. Még Windows alatt sem. (Igaz, Windowst csak és kizárólag az ősöreg, de LifeTime Garmin Nuvi GPS-em frissítéséhez használok egyedül, mert nincs kedvem kerülő utat keresni rá.)

De, úgy voltam vele, hogy ha már van mindenféle CLI-s AI agent, akkor teszek egy próbát azzal is.

Oda adtam a Claude AI CLI agentjének sudo joggal együtt, hogy... oldja meg, ha tudja.

Dolgozik bőszen. És, igazából nem csak azért nem félek, hogy elront valamit, mert nincs semmi szenzitív azon a gépen és pikk-pakk újra telepítem és kész.
De, azért sem, mert egyszerűen egy netes keresést nem tud megcsinálni anélkül, hogy minden oldalra külön rá ne kérdezne, hogy engem-e.

...és ugyanez minden lépésnél itt is. Egyszerűen nem tudok normálisan gépelni, mert a másik monitoron az ssh-ban folyamatosna nyomkodnom kell az entert a jóváhagyások miatt.

Kíváncsi leszek, mi lesz a vége!

Nearly a year later, I find myself going back to this post and adding its settings to get a sane #scrollbar on #Firefox.

It's annoying that despite Mozilla dropping Motif for GTK+ in their browser back when they open-sourced their browser, they still didn't consider maybe using the native UI widgets that GTK+ provided?

My chosen GTK+ emulates a nice retro OS/2 theme, which is actually rather quite usable on a #tablet #touchscreen. It's not the classical Motif UI of historical Unix, but it's usable. Another good choice would be the classic MacOS UI… or maybe 90s era Windows. Make those a little beefier on a touchscreen and you'd have quite a usable UI for both desktops and touchscreens.

But… Firefox and Chromium UI devs know better apparently.

I never thought I would miss a #touchscreen on my #laptop .

My travel #computer is a #tablet . When I come back home, I often want to switch tabs or press "OK" or some other mundane thing, without doing the keyboard shortcut. But my main laptop doesn't have a #touch screen!

It's not a big thing, but it does mean that the modern trend of touch screens actually makes computers easier!

Although the trend to remove separate mouse buttons doesn't. I'll die on that hill.
