Well that was pretty epic. A short drive to the station for 9:45am. Not too early. Time enough to have a relaxed breakfast before leaving. A few beers each on the train (non-alcoholic ones for me) along with snacks I’d bought from FRONT the day before (having met and chatted to Geoff Hurst in there a further day before).

Didn't realise there's a new rule in the Premier League this season. Apparently if a player decides to sit down and have a little rest, the referee will stop the game and give a yellow card to a random opposition player.

In 1990 I attended my first football match. #Tottenham at home to Sheffield United at White Hart Lane.
We (#Spurs) won 4-0. Paul Walsh scored a hattrick. #Nayim got the other.
My two heroes were there: #Gazza played the first half before going off injured at half time. #GaryLineker was the other substitute, unused.
Tomorrow I’m off to the very same fixture. Back then it was El Tel in charge. Now it’s Big Ange. Both larger than life figures who love to play exciting, expansive football. COME ON YOU SPURS.
