A family member had a #TotalHipReplacement today, and the day looked something like this:
5:45am: Admission, pre-op
8:45am: Surgery is complete, moved to recovery
1:30pm: Patient is mobile (with walker), working with physical therapists
3:00pm: Discharged from the hospitalModern medical science is absolutely incredible!

A couple of things I learned in my last job...
1. If you fall off, get back on
2. You are only as good as your last horseThe sidewalks in Banff were ice free and late Sunday afternoon there was just a few tourists left downtown. We went for a walk.
We walked for an hour. It wasn't very far and not very fast but so very lovely.
Fall down. Get back on.
This is not my last horse.

Skiing accident/Total Hip Replacement update...
Yesterday was my 2 week post op appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon in Calgary.
Everything is A okay and I now have clearance to start physio therapy. My first PT appointment is this afternoon.
Slowly moving forward...one step at a time. <3 <3

Before the accident, I had started another project scarf on my loom. A scarf for Aleks.
Now it looks like it's going to be some time till I am able to sit and work and play with this project.
So I found this.
A little weaving wheel.
It makes a braided rope.Once I get it long enough, I think it'll be a special add into Aleks' scarf.
And I think my little girls will love to use the wheel to make bracelets <3 <3

I graduated from gown to pants!!!
(PJ pants but pants none the less :) )I think my healing progress is good. My "staying grounded and breathe" muscles are getting very good workouts each day.
