#Watching #TotalControl Season3 (on ABCiView in australia)

just watched the final episode. what an excellent series this has been — if there are not many people who get into parliament and say what needs to be said, this show makes for a rather satisfying substitute fantasy.

Season 3 Episode 5 was a massive achievement in television drama. i’m not much of a sports fan but i felt like this was the grand final of politics (and a great big flying finger of feck to the two-party system, which has had a strangle hold on business since the democrats better years). honestly, a schoolyard full of 7 year olds are better behaved and more deserving of our respect most of the time.

The last episode wraps bits together nicely, and ends on a great note.

(only *slightly* mesmerised by the way rachel griffiths looks, as she ages, more and more like an aunt of mine)

incidentally interesting to see just how many episodes in seasons 2 and 3 were directed by wayne blair, in this series playing Paul Murphy, as always in an interesting role

“new” parliament house, what can i say? when it first opened i heard people raving about it, though from photos or tv it looked meh… (in pictures it still does, imo) til the day i actually walked into the joint and it blew me away. it’s a hotbed of bullshit, usually, but as buildings go an astonishing work of art

If you watch the Australian ABC TV series Total Control you will see Debra Mailman as the main protagonist.

She’s always radgy and yelling at someone which is a pity because she’s got such a nice face.

So, instead of scowling at another politician, usually male, saying “ You are a corrupt spineless piece of shit, and you should be totally ashamed of yourself” with a really angry face, why doesn’t she try to deliver the same lines with the beaming 1000 Watt smile that I’m sure she’s capable of?

I’m sure she would become even more popular if she did this.
