What's going on with foreign direct investment (FDI) into the UK?

Measured by 'flows' UK has gone from FDI of 9.6% GDP to - 2.3% in 2021; a flow of capital out of the country.

But, our 'stock' of FDI remains largely unchanged over the same period.

So, while new #investment in the UK has stagnated, disinvestment has not (as yet at least) taken place.
