What about Christians who go to Church on a Sunday? Are they only working 'part-time' or does the fact that Sunday is traditionally a Christian day of rest make it all right? Would it be fine for Starmer to go to church on Sunday? Of course it would. So this makes the attack on Starmer for following Jewish observance rather than Christian observances antisemitic.

I think that the point is that Tories just don't care if they outrage portions of the Jewish population with these attacks on Starmer. If a Jewish lawyer does Shabbat are they a 'part-time lawyer'? Are Jewish political leaders only 'part time leaders' because they observe the Shabbat?

The doubling down on the attack by the Tories set out in this article in the Jewish News is astonishing. They have been driven mad by the prospect of the loss of power and the loss of access to vast pools of money for themselves and their cronies.
