Quick tortellini lunch soups

It’s nearly summer but I’m still craving hydrating and filling soups rather than salads for lunch. I searched for easy soup recipes and found this list. The recipes I’ve tried so far are fast and inexpensive. The prep is usually emptying cans into a pot, with some minimal chopping. I tried Simple Tortellini Soup first, and finished it to the last drop. The warm tomato-y broth with cheesy pasta, beans, and zucchini tasted like comfort food. 

Next I tried Hearty Italian Meatball Soup, swapping the pasta for more tortellini:

I also finished my zucchini rather than adding frozen vegetables. I couldn’t find mini meatballs, and used store brand turkey meatballs instead. It tasted okay but I think mini or chopped meatballs would have been a significant improvement. Overall, I preferred the basic tortellini soup.

I’m thinking of trying the similar Easy Minestrone Soup next.

So, erstmal #Tortellini auf die Einkaufsliste für morgen gesetzt. Ich habe gestern auf dem Markt von meinen Käseverkäufern zwei schöne Stückchen #Käse geschenkt bekommen. Beide gut schmelzend. Eines sehr kräftig im Geschmack und das andere sehr cremig. Das gibt eine leckere #Käsesoße zu den Tortellini. 😋

Soup Sunday accomplished! This is Chicken Tortellini Soup! It's not one of my favorite soups, but it was still good. The tortellini lacked flavor, but it could be because we used our local store brand. Maybe name brand would be better. The rotisserie chicken really made this soup extra tasty! I give this soup a 7.5 out of 10!

Die kleinen Baby Boo Kürbisse, die ich mir aus der Kürbisausstellung in Ludwigsburg mitgebracht habe, habe ich in einem einfachen aber sehr köstlichen Pfannengericht verwendet.

Dafür habe ich mir Salsiccia als Rohwurst aus dem Supermarkt geholt und die Wurstmasse verwendet.Du kannst auch ganz reguläres Hackfleisch verwenden oder die Wurstmasse einer anderen groben rohen Bratwurst.

Evolution of the Italian #PastaRipiena: the first steps toward a scientific classification

In this study, #phylogenetic and #biogeographic methods are used to investigate the evolutionary relationships between various types of Italian pasta ripiena (filled pasta) and related representatives from across #Eurasia, using information from their geography, shape, content and cooking methods. Our results showed that, with the exception of the Sardinian #Culurgiones, all the other pasta ripiena from Italy likely had a single origin in the northern parts of the country. Based on the proposed evolutionary hypothesis, the Italian pasta are divided into two main clades: a #ravioli clade mainly characterized by a more or less flat shape, and a #tortellini clade mainly characterized by a three-dimensional shape. The implications of these findings are further discussed.
