Toronto has a plan to make buses and streetcars faster and more reliable by prioritizing them in traffic, known as RapidTO. RapidTO was first introduced in 2020, but the plan is stalled. Only one project has been completed: red bus lanes on Eglinton East, Kingston, and Morningside. A bus lane on Jane Street was supposed to be installed in 2021...

How come we aren’t starting on the dedicated busway option today? $3 million for 30,000 riders seems like small change for the half a billion we are paying for the same number of drivers to rebuild the Gardiner.
