After many months I finally found the energy, materials and will to actually say a proper farewell.
This was what I came up with for the first page of my first ever sketchbook. It means a lot, and even with any mistakes that are and will be in the coming pages, nothing will make this sketchbook "bad" now :)
Thank you for everything for all my childhood memories and many many more...

J'ai testé la démo de #SandLand (au passage, l'anime est vraiment cool). Ça s'annonce comme un chouette open world avec une touche de RPG pas désagréable. Je n'irai peut-être pas jusqu'à l'acheter day one mais je me laisserai bien tenter en promo à 20€ max ^^

With #toriyama 's passing amongst Dragonball and Dr. Slump, Chrono Trigger was mentioned. I never played it but I've seen it's characters a lot of times. As per usual jRPGs are shipped with an amazing OST. Gave it a listen. For the foreseeable future I will keep it going whenever I grab a brush to ink and a pencil to sketch comic pages. It gives me the necessary serenity and calm to be immersed into what I'm doing. The creative side, not the concentration side... The master will always show the path and guide....

Aw man I completely missed this news! I never really loved #DBZ (I was always into the fun scenes more than the fights), but the original #DragonBall series with #Goku as a child was immensely significant in my early love for #anime. He did other work too of course, but young Goku and friends will always be my goat. #AkiraToriyama #Toriyama

I am out of words really with Toriyama's passing. Basically most of my childhood, the things I decided to sketch first out of my mind, were basically based on characters from DB... He was there every weekend at 11.30 me rushing about to watch every DBZ and DB episode for many many years!
Thank you for the inspiration, the company, the amazing moments, the memories, for shaping up a whole generation of people!!
I linked a sketch I did of my best super sayajin "level", and a cyberpunk figurehead I did that I was told (and correctly) that it looked like Freeza way too much :P Might eventually at some point finish it....

Like many, when I was a child, I got hooked by the adventures of Goku and his friends.
It's true that I lost interest when the series became that kind of unlimited kickboxing fest, but somewhere I still have the memories of the first adventures and the infinite joy of discovering what else could be contained in Bulma's capsules.

I’m at a loss for words. Akira toriyama has passed. I find out 6 days later. The works of his imagination were a huge part of my childhood. Seeing him involved in the new Dragon Ball anime’s warmed my heart. His vision brought together amazing worlds, Interesting characters .I hope you and your family find peace.
