Had a great time this weekend at the Green & Gold Open, Rock Creek's big annual bonspiel. I got back together with friends from California for the third year in a row (with a slightly modified cast this year) and took home the B Event win. #tootspiel

#TeamCarle ended the weekend 4-2 with a 7th event win at the St. Paul Winter Carnival. 3 wins on Sunday was a nice way to end the event. Would have been a different event number if we hadn't run into the eventual champions early, but I'm delighted to get an event win. #TootSpiel

We ended up surviving the chaos of the 48-team field to qualify for the 16-team playoffs at the Last Chance Mixed Doubles Qualifier. We were then promptly smoked by two-time Olympian Nina Roth and her partner Kroy

Bummed that my team is going to miss out on #curling club provincials as one teammate dropped out. Asking around to see if we could pick up a player, was astounded to discover that <25% of our club members ID as female. Huge drop since Covid.
Is this the case at other clubs? Does your club do anything to increase its membership in a certain demographic? Women who curl, what does your club do, if anything, to foster women curlers? #GrowTheGame #tootspiel -
