11 days ago Senator Joni Ernst posted an insincere walk-back on YouTube of her previous statement that “we are all going to die.” She #accused her audience of believing that humans will never face death. That is not the issue. The issue is her disregard for the well-being of all US residents and her disrespect for those who care about the #poor and the #needy.
There is a big difference between dying a natural death and dying because you had no access to healthcare. These two situations are not equal. Ernst went on to compare concerns about bare minimum healthcare #Medicaid and value of a human life to believing in the #ToothFairy. Ernst’s true #cynical, disrespectful convictions were even more emphasized by her recommendation to believe in ‘her [supposed] Lord and savior, Jesus Christ’. Her attitude could not be more different from the historic Jesus in her disregard for the needy.
I am so glad that Senator #Ernst revealed her true, hard heart and cynicism!

When I was in my teens, I was told one of my front teeth would fall out by the time I turned thirty. It’s a baby tooth. Now I’m past the half century mark, and it’s still hanging in there by some sort of magic. It has no root. Anything could knock it out. I’m careful never to eat with it.
