I love the things you can find in old parish registers. The back of Tetbury's for 1709 to 1793 includes this recipe for a tooth ache remedy, some arithmetic calculations, and the following:
"Beauford Bridge near Tetbury was begun on November 1774 and finished in April 1776 Mr Thomas Webb of Tetbury architect".

A de-registered from #Lerwick #Dental Practice patient has complained of being left in “tremendous pain” with with #toothache – with no offer of treatment.

The patient was among the 2,000 who were told they were being de-registered by early next year.

A further 4,000 patients are also at risk of de-registration.

I'm on a #waitinglist for an #NHS #dentist & have been offered a #checkup at #NHSdental #price. But the dentist's bio is focused on fancy #treatments rather than basics. This makes me nervous.
Add that to #Covid concerns & I've got a conundrum.
Having needed a #rootcanal #treatment decades ago I know how agonising #toothache can be.
I don't trust all these new plans & can't afford upfront #privatedental fees.

The screening of my film at the Rendezvous With Madness festival is a week from today. I probably won’t be able to go. This is sad. I’ve emailed the organizers to let them know. I was in a lot of pain for a couple of weeks, but I met with my naturopath, she listened to my issues, and helped me come up with a treatment plan which is helping. Liposomal vitamin C and zinc have helped calm my dental pain enormously. Thank fuck. It was very hard to function at all. I’m even able to eat normally again. I had a toothache in a dying tooth a few weeks ago while my dentist was away, and got an antibiotic prescription from an emergency dentist. Unfortunately, my tooth has been feeling stranger and stranger over the past few days. I think it is finally dead. Now I have to figure out when to get it pulled.
