Acabo de descubrir la app #Tooot para #iOS (también #Android ), y es una pasada. Me ha gustado mucho más que la app oficial de #Mastodon
Tiene multi idioma, tema OLED, y permite añadir fácilmente otras estancias del #fediverso en las búsquedas. Muestra los links en los toots (algunas apps no lo hacen). No recopila info sensible de usuario, sólo de la app.

I just installed the #Moshidon Android app for #Mastodon / #ActivityPub, after having used #Tooot for the last year or two.
Man is Moshidon slick! I've really been missing out.

@Commander_KEEN Mir fällt auch kein Feature ein, dass mir wichtiger wäre. Außer #tooot ist mir aber noch keine App begegnet, die das beherrscht. Öffnet Mensch darin nen Kommentar, werden die Kommentare von der Instanz gezogen, von welcher der Kommentar gepostet wurde. Somit sieht man alles. Blöderweise auch von geblockten Konten - aber lieber so, als andersrum.

@amadeus I had it happening to me yesterday: A toot from an account (from another server) I do not follow showed up in my stream. None of its hashtags followed. Noticed a person I do follow had replied to a post on the thread further below the toot. For now I assume the following: A person I follow retoots/boosts a post, then remove the boost. The post stays published/cached and is seen by me, confusing me. #mastodon #cache #refresh #client #mastodon_client #tooot

Rückkehr zu #Mastodon
Ein weiteres Mal werde ich den Weg von #Firefish zurück zu Mastodon antreten.
Auch wenn ich Firefish für technisch deutlich überlegen halte, so sind es doch wieder die weiterhin existierenden Lücken, die mir den Spass verderben.
1. Schlechte Performance der Weboberfläche unter #Firefox
Die UI von Firefish ist offenbar auf Chrome optimiert und funktioniert unter Firefox nur schleppend. Auch alle möglichen Optimieren (Animationen abschalten, etc.) lösen das Problem nicht. Es frisst massiv CPU und RAM.
2. Schlechte Client-Unterstützung unter iOS.
Ja, es gibt ein paar Clients und etliche Mastodon-Clients unterstützen inzwischen auch Firefish (@[email protected], @[email protected], #Tooot) - aber es funktioniert nicht reibungslos. Apps crashen oder unterstützen essentielle Features nicht oder nicht richtig.
3. Serveradministration ist aufwändiger
Die Administration von Firefish im Vergleich zu Mastodon ist mit mehr Aufwand verbunden. Das bedeutet, dass ich entweder mehr Geld für den gleichen Service zahlen muss (wenn ich den Dienst einkaufe) - oder aber selbst mehr Aufwand und Ressourcen aufwenden muss, wenn ich das selbst mache.
Die Punkte sind einzeln nicht entscheidend. Aber in Summe nervt es doch zu sehr.

I'm an #Android user, using #Moshidon atm, it doesn't have it. I've also tried #Tusky, #HuskyForPleroma, #Tooot, #Trunks, and #Megalodon in the past, too. None of them have it, yet anyway. If I'm wrong, someone please let me know? Ta.

well, I just learned that alt text added to an image doesn't have a translate feature like normal toots. I guess it still provides non-native speakers something to copy/paste into a translate tool tho.
Or is that only a ToooT thing? I was on that app when I found out

Danach kommt bei mir die #mastodon app. Sie ist vergleichbar. Mir fehlt das folgen von #hashtags und ans profil pinnen.
Dann gibt es noch #tusky. Diese #app ist von den #feeds her nicht gleich ersichtlich so umfangreich. Pluspunkte sind das #direktnachrichten #postfach und die #listen.
Interessant finde ich auch #tooot.->

One feature that I would like to have in #Mastodon apps is to group the same post below multiple hashtags in my home timeline.
Currently, if I am subscribed to a few hashtags that overlap and someone uses them all in there post, I see the post multiple times in my home timeline under different hashtags.
It should be grouped or only showed on e if I post included multiple hashtags that I follow.

Então você pode fazer um "reset" e buscar novos perfis para seguir :-) Comece seguindo as #hashtags que te interessam e use isso como um buscador de perfis que te interessam.
Use aplicativos que permitem ler a linha pública de instâncias (#tooot e #moshidon) e descubra perfis que te apetecem...
É tipo primeiros dias em bairro novo... explore e encontre sua turma!

@doug_aguilar Alguns aplicativos (#tooot e #moshidon, no #Android) te permitem criar "linhas do tempo" para os toots públicos de outras instâncias. Assim você terá, além das linhas local, global e quem você segue, outras para cada instância que você deseje acompanhar!

Does anyone use Tooot on Android? Do you have any problems where images don't load for you after switching back to Tooot from other apps? Or is it just me?

Hi Dan - I'm experimenting with #Pixelfed accessed via various Masto clients - #icecubesapp #Tooot #Wooly amongst others, but only #MonaBeta and #Ivory will allow me to log in to my pixelfed a/c without getting a "419-Page Expired" error... And only #Ivory will allow me to post photographs.
Is there an API issue with Pixelfed?... And is there any chance you'd be able to fix from your end?

I've quickly compiled a bunch of posts about apps that support #Calckey, using the clip feature within Calckey. The good news is that #Mastodon API is coming very soon for those of you already using #tusky #tooot #tootbot #megalodon #metatext etc.
There are already some #Misskey -based apps that support Calckey's wide set of features, particularly #MissRirica
Calckey also works well as a progressive web app (PWA) on your phone or tablet.

Uuuugh, why do so many of the apps that have iPad versions just…not know how to optimize for iPad? I’ve been spoiled by #TootApp and by #tusker having really good iPad versions, that take advantage of having all that screen space. #Tooot, like #Mastoot and #tootoise, just have the same layout as the phone apps, just spread out. It makes me sad. #AppTryOut

I'm trialling Tooot, rather than the official Mastedon app for Android.
My first impression? To ask: why isn't this the official Mastedon app for Android. It has so many features that are missing from the official app, and an interface that should be straightforward for anyone moving across from you-know-where.

It’s settled. I’ve decided to use ToooT on my Apple smartphone. Things I like so far:
1) It allows editing of toots , 2) You can upload GIFs directly without converting to the MP4 video format, 3) You can pin toots, 4) You can read toots in vertical or horizontal format, and, 5) It’s free. Haven’t downloaded it for my Android device, yet. #MastodonApps #EditToots #ToooT -

@charlesroper @timbrown @tchambers #tooot and #tootoise support editing #lists. Others only show list timelines but you cannot edit their members. Anyway … there seems to be no client yet which gives lists a high priority. They all have it somewhere hidden e.g. between account settings.

Which is your favourite #Mastodon iOS app? I’ve tried the native #MastodonApp, #Metatext, #Mastoot, #Tooot, #TwidereX & the #Mammoth beta.
I think my favourites are the native app and Metatext so far, although I understand that development on the latter has stopped.
What what be a killer for me is an app that shows both toots and tweets, like #Twidere on Android.
I know #Tweetbot is developing #Ivory but I wonder if #Hootsuite or #IconFactory, the makers of #Twitterrific have plans?
