  1. Heh. Apparently, I invented a new word tonight -- #Booksalanche . When you reach for one book in a pile, and the whole thing falls over.

  2. someone earlier was asking about "too many books?" and, well

@SheButch is trying to put their collection in order and here are the duplicates we've discovered ... so far

(for a hitherto-unsorted collection of "about three Billy", that's arguably not terrible)

  3. Very pleased with this little Gunn sectioned bookcase we picked up today. From the turn of the 20th century, I think, so a bit older than our house! A fairly random assortment of books for now. Working out what will eventually live there is a much longer process and might involve a 26 week public consultation exercise…

  4. Ok new #reading goal for March, actually read something from my to-read pile without getting distracted by shiny new releases...or the comfort of a re-read

  5. Labelled this book box, not thinking about the out-of-context. Now picturing moving day when the movers ask if these are all books & I say, oh, no. @neilhimself is really in that box and Poe is over there. Be careful where you put them.

  6. Ugh. Ive repositioned a broken book shelf (yes, the shelf fell down due to its weight bearing limit being repeatedly breached). Now i have several boxes of books sititng in the lounge to sort & streamline (say goodbye to).
Some really have to go.. But how on Earth do i choose?
    Any tips for deciding?

  7. @UselessUsername I will have to take a peek at both of those. Always good to see what's out that I might have missed.

  8. Think twice before reading/writing a book; the shorter ones will tend to be too long. Incentives are bad: if it’s “too short” you can’t bind it and sell it in bookstores and make a big campaign out of it. #toomanybooks

  9. OK I was later informed that I forgot a bunch of boxes in a corner of the appartment, significantly biasing my sample. Now to merge the two datasets... #toomanybooks
