Does anybody know what these special event cards number >= 4 are used for?
The manual tells you to pick card 1-3 as starting cards for the game. But does not mention the others.

Es gibt einen neuen tollen Artikel von @frostedgames um etwas Orientierung bei den verschiedenen Grundspielen und Erweiterungen von #TooManyBones zu bekommen.

Ich habe für mich entschieden, beim ersten Grundspiel zu bleiben. Allein dafür gibts mit den verschiedenen Bossen, Gearlocs und Erweiterungen soooooviel zu spielen. Da braucht es kein Grundspiel 2 oder 3 mit weiteren Begegnungen etc.

My hubby and me did our first play of Too Many Bones: Unbreakable. It was challenging and sometime puzzling as we went through encounters with special rules. But we had a lot of fun and the evening went by very quickly!

Man sieht hier gut, dass meine Family eher mal für ein Kartenspiel zu haben ist 🥲

#ZombieKittens ist klar ein Favorit meines Teenies. Die Spiele mit meinem Kleinkind kommen noch nicht so zur Geltung hier. Wird aber mehr.

Interessant finde ich auch die Tortendiagramme.

84 Mitspieler ist durch anonyme Spieler ganz gut verfälscht. 34 waren es ohne.

Not feeling very patriotic, plus fireworks are illegal here now, so my wife and I started our first attempt at a Age of Tyranny campaign of Too Many Bones. I'm playing Tink for the first time, and my wife is re-playing Boomer.

We defeated the first tyrant without too much trouble, but the second one has been a lot rougher: We lost one battle (which fortunately resulted in losing our campaign scars), and narrowly beat another with me suffering a KO.

#boardgames weekend: My wife and I revisited Too Many Bones, playing "adventurer" ("easy") difficulty with Boomer (a grenadier) and Nugget (melee-ranged DPS hybrid).

First adventure was against a 10 day tyrant. Wife got KO'd by focus-fire in the first round of the first combat before even getting a turn, and almost rage quit as a result. We went on to win the whole thing, after 2 tyrant attempts (one 20pt baddie is easier to tank than 3 5pt ones).

I think we need to find a condensed version of the manual, because it's written in too conversational a style, making it frustrating to use as a reference when trying to work out minutiae of the rules. There are a LOT of mechanics to learn; it's going a little faster this time, but I'm still not confident enough to start meta-gaming.

I like the character progression aspect of the game, but most of the rest of it feels a bit odd.

Wow, ich habe von meiner Frau zum Geburtstag das Spiel „Too Many Bones“ geschenkt bekommen. 😃
Ich wusste ja bereits, dass es ein krasses Spiel mit hochwertigem Spielmaterial ist. Aber das Ding bringt einfach mal 3,7 kg auf die Waage. 🤯
Jetzt heißt es erstmal, sich durch das Regelwerk zu arbeiten. Aber vielleicht finde ich ja auch ein gutes Video auf YouTube. 😉

Im #November habe ich viel neues ausprobieren können. Da waren einige positive Überraschungen dabei. #TimesUp ist ein nettes Partyspiel. #ArcheNova ist aktuell für meinen Mann und mich das meist gespielte Spiel. Bei #DerSiebteKontinent konnten wir endlich unseren ersten Fluch lösen. Mit #TooManyBones bin ich noch nicht so recht warm geworden. #ClankCatacombs hat mir auf Anhieb richtig gut gefallen.

Ich liebäugle ja mit #TooManyBones - allerdings schreckt mich der Preis momentan noch etwas ab (ja, ich weiß, viel Spielmaterial usw.). Lohnt sich das denn auch, wenn man überwiegend zu zweit spielt? Oder sollte man das Spiel dann schon lieber zu dritt oder zu viert spielen? @brettspiele

Geschichten aus #Daelore:

Nugget und Ghillie vs. den Goblin König. Tag 10. Könnte den Score reduzieren, aber hoffe, ein einzelner 20er Fiesling ist besser zu handhaben.

Es erscheint: Ein Grimmiger Eulenbär, der dank "Inspieren 2" dem Goblinkönig 2 Angriff mehr gibt und noch einen Goblin Wachposten (Alarm 3) auf den Stapel legt 🥲 Nugget und Ghillie überleben die Angriffe, aber das wird knapp und wir sind am Ende von Runde 1! 🙀

Ich würde es weiterempfehlen. Charakterentwicklung, Rundentaktik mit etwas Glücksanteil. Ca. 2-3h pro Session.

Ich habe in ca. 2 Wochen im Oktober 26h zusammengesuchtet. 🙈
