The vision for our organization is to provide an inclusive space that promotes a four step cycle of create, display, teach and inspire.

Site 3 is 100% volunteer run and is a registered Ontario non-profit organization. We are a community of makers, artists, inventors, tinkerers, learners, teachers, and much more. If this sounds like your kind of thing, maybe you should join us?
Membership Levels
The membership structure consists of three levels. All three membership levels pay the same monthly dues of $60 plus #HST with different privileges for each membership level. We have a minimum 2 month membership period meaning your first and last month’s membership fees will be charged upon signup ($120 plus HST). Storage lockers are available at an additional monthly fee."

South Portland Electric #ToolLibrary
Opening Day: April 22, 2026
The South Portland Electric Tool Library (#SPETL) provides the opportunity for South Portland residents to borrow electric lawn equipment free of charge by simply using their South Portland Public Library card. Residents can borrow electric lawn mowers, leaf blowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and edgers.
Residents can sign out electric equipment by going to the SPETL shed located next to the Swap Shop at the Transfer Station. The SPETL manager will assist residents with signing out and learning how to use equipment. All borrowers will be provided a charger and battery with their equipment. To sign out equipment residents must provide a valid City of South Portland Library card and sign an Equipment User Agreement form.
The SPETL is open Wednesdays and Saturdays 10 AM to 3 PM.

Resilient Yards
We are now accepting applications for our Resilient Yards Program! Are you interested in learning more about native plants and resilient gardening in your yard? Participating in Resilient Yards is a great way for South Portland Residents to get started. Our volunteer coaches will help you design and install a small native habitat garden in your yard with program resources. Learn more and go to southportland.gov/resilientyards to apply by May 1, 2026."

In this WorkSpace Safety course, you will receive training on the safe usage of the following tools: #BandSaw, #TableSaw, #MitreSaw, #DrillPress, drill, and belt & disc #sander. You will have ample time to try out each tool, with the result being the creation of your very own toolbox.
This course is required for anyone who wants to use the above listed tools in our #WorkSpace.
Every workshop attendee gets a free 3 hour pass to our WorkSpace (value $26). Pass needs to be used within one month of this workshop.
Please dress appropriately for working in a woodshop: closed-toe shoes, hair tied in the back, and no loose clothing. It's important to be on time for this workshop as this is a safety course and all information is important. Late arrivals may not be able to join.
