On Monday the media reported that the Tongan volcanic eruption was the largest in history. I can believe that, here at the top of the South Island all these many months later we are still getting these stunning 'afterglow' sunsets through the volcanic particles that were thrown up in the eruption and dispersed thousands of miles away. They happen after the sun sets. These are some we've had in recent weeks and months. #volcano #tongavolcano #tongaeruption #sunsets #afterglow
