お久しぶりです！以前、問題の見つかった材料を新しいものに替えて、新しいアプローチでデザインを見直しました。いかがでしょうか？大きさはA6、厚さ16mmで384ページあります。
背の補強材からしおり紐がチラッとのぞく仕様です。天小口（上側の断面）はペーパーナイフで切った状態で、小口と地小口（側面と下側の断面）は化粧裁ちをせず不揃いなまま紙の端を残して手仕事の味わいを残しています。

Ok, so I have some _ideas_.
Crazy idea #1: Slice open the Endless Recorder with an X-Acto and a straight edge along the front and rear covers, remove the text block. You might be able to scrape the glue off the spine and rebind the signatures (with the original covers) with a Coptic-style stitch, which _will_ lay flat.
Crazy idea #2: Order large sheets of #TomoeRiver from Talas and cut to size for #Calligraphy projects.
Crazy idea #3: Use X-Acto to slice out individual sheets. -

So I wasn't thrilled with the way my Parallel was behaving on the Kokuyo paper (I've been puttering about with it in the back of my Ink Swatch notebook, which is a Kokuyo Perpanep). I have Diamine's Festive Joy in it - a purple with a gold sheen, from last year's Inkvent. I'd also been doing some marker art (mandalas mostly) in a Tomoe River Endless Recorder, so I thought... why not, let's see how this does on Tomoe River paper.
*oh no*
So apparently that's going to be my favorite paper now for callig work, at least with this pen. And of course it's the *old* Tomoe River paper. I have the tiny sample of the new paper that came with my 2023 Hobonichi Cousin, so I'm going to try that out.
Thankfully I have an unopened 50 sheet pad of blank paper, and at least one, if not two other Endless Recorders around here (I bought a few when I found them on clearance at one point), so I'm not totally SOL. I'm not *loving* trying to callig in a bound journal that doesn't like to lay flat yet, but honestly, the pen on the paper with this ink is so vastly superior all my stuff is going in this notebook from now on.
