It was both the title track and the first single released from American singer-songwriter and actress #CyndiLauper's second studio album of the same name (1986). Produced by Lauper and Lennie Petze, and released in August 1986 by #EpicRecords, the song spent two weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, being Lauper's second and last single to occupy the top of the chart.
