I second your statement that the emperor's memorial in the Hofkirche is one of the most outstanding sights in Innsbruck. I would even say that if there's only one thing you want to pay entrance fee for it is this tomb. -

A tomb and a love story
This tomb of the emperor Maximilian I is empty. The story of this monument is long and complex. His grandson finally finished a smaller version in Innsbruck. The emperor himself is buried near Vienna. Most of him is.
His heart was removed and laid to rest in the sarcophagus of his first wife, Mary of Burgundy, in Bruges, today Belgium. They loved each other deeply which in those times was a rare blessing.

We are currently on holiday in #Cavan at the moment but I wanted to share these photos with you all.
We went on a guided tour of #Newgrange, Co.Meath* today. We were allowed into see the inner chamber.
We stood inside a Neolithic Chamber that was built 5,200 years ago, which makes it older than Stonehenge and the Pyramids of Giza.
There are no words to explain how that feels - we are merely a dot on the timeline of this earth!
