Tänään olen kuunnellut Tom Waitsin Swordfishtrombones-albumia, koska se on ihan ässä. Juteltiin pomon kanssa ip siitä, kuinka jenkkien lentotukialus päästi satojen päivien purjehduksen jälkeen sotilaat Thaimaan Pattayalle, ja mitä se tulisi tarkoittamaan paikallisten hyvinvoinnille. Lähes yhdestä suusta totesimme, että pitää varmaan kuunnella Tom Waitsin Shore Leave -biisi 😂
Anyways, siinä on yksi kauneimpia säkeitä, kun sotilaskertojaääni sanoo:

Ich habe Marc Ribot zum ersten Mal auf RAIN DOGS von Tom Waits bemerkt, dann habe ich ihn mit einem #Rex50 digitalen Multieffekt im Stadtgarten Köln gehört (hatte ich selbst: Mistteil, extrem tolle Effekte, mieses Abtasten, viel Rauschen). Und dann M R mit Elvis Costello auf SPIKE , einem HighlightAlbum in meinem Leben.
