Look, I know this country has it's problems. I know all the ways things have gotten worse since I arrived here 20 years ago.
But today a convoy of indigenous leaders who rode across the country arrived at Parliament on horseback to deliver a petition defending their rights directly into the hands of members of Parliament.
A petition that had 50 thousand signatures which is a lot in our small country.
It's moments like this I am reminded that Aotearoa is still such a special place.
