I don't know what exactly happend but for a few days now I am hitting the #toggl api limit every fucking 15 minutes or so.
And yes I am on the free plan, but 30 requests AN HOUR is nothing for a service that thrives on having many integrations / scripts to work with.

As a free user demanding something feels weird, but it also feels very limiting to be limited to 30 requests PER Account (not per app!). I don't know if I even want to support that :/

Here we are, the 10 minutes I wanted to invest 5 minutes ago into a rough first draft of the research school program end right now by stopping the timer after — checks #toggl — 1:41:54. D'oh!

Das war nützlich - aber vor Kurzem habe ich die toggl Apps alle gelöscht und Ende. Alle Ziele wurden erreicht und das kann weg. :blobcatjustright:

Eine Einsicht: E-Mail lässt sich in keine Kategorie pressen. Per Mail kommt der blödeste Mist und in Mail schreibe ich manchmal meine besten Gedanken. 1/2

I use #toggl plan and track (free versions) for time keeping and the Gantt view for projects. Does anyone know of a #foss #opensource alternative? Self-hosted is also cool. #projectmanagement

Und auch “Lineare Algebra" kam heute zu einem Abschluss. Zeitaufwand hier laut #toggl Track insgesamt 73h 57m, also weniger als 3h pro 90 Min Vorlesung.

Riesenunterschied zu Algebra 2 weil das Material schon vorbereitet war (und einfacher). Dafür hier mehr Studis und mehr Orga.

Thanks to #toggl track I know that all in all the whole course (preparation and teaching) took me 138h 16m of work time which is between 5 and 6 hours per 90min lecture.

But the script was entirely written this time. Had only some handwritten notes on Galois stuff before.

Will be less next time.

#Toggl は自分も昔ガッツリ使っていて、かなり細かく作業時間を記録していて、時間で生産するタイプの契約のお仕事ではそこから直接レポート出力して稼働時間の報告にしたりしていた。
いまはそこまでどの作業に何時間かけたかとか細かく書く必要がないので、タイマー押し忘れた時のあとでの時間入力とかの手間とかもあって使わなくなってしまったけど。

自分が時間をどの作業にどれだけ使ったのかが後で可視化されるのは面白かったし、そうしないと気づかない事もあったので、また利用を再開してもいいかもしれない…（検討
以前は無料の範囲で全然十分だったが、プランとか変わってないといいが。

i recently migrated from the watson CLI time-tracker ( https://github.com/jazzband/Watson ) to toggl ( https://toggl.com ) for cross-platform compatibility with my ipad. it worked great… except i often work in and have a terminal open, and kept forgetting to launch toggl

i missed having a CLI very much, especially as watson had been pretty much perfect for my needs with powerful reporting (even if the project hasn’t been maintained in ~2 years, it was mature enough)

this open-source, third-party toggl CLI has solved that issue completely for me ( https://github.com/auhau/toggl-cli ). as a bonus, i even got my old tmux statusline scripts for watson up and running with toggl instead

anyway, thought it was worth a share for anyone else in the same boat. now if i could find a solid CLI for habitica…

Dites les gens du masto pro, vous utilisez des apps/sites pour tracker votre temps ?

Je suis sur #Toggl depuis des années et honnêtement ca fait exactement ce que je veux... Mais j'aurai bien migré vers une solution open-source tant qu'à protéger un peu mes données...

je n'ai vraiment besoin que du #timetracking par tâches, avec les tâches dans un projet et les projets par clients... Puis la possibilité d'exporter par mois, période, client...

@eliotedits @edibuddies not silly or inefficient if it works for you. I used to do that when I only had a couple of projects starting out. I used #Toggl for ages but found I wasn't recording anything except actual editing time. No admin, CPD, marketing etc. Wanted to get more deliberate w/ everything business and track better. I found #Timeular - a physical tracker w/ app - and that's made all the difference. I needed something manual. Expensive one-off but worth it.
