I can always get excited about it, especially about the sunbathing, naked "naturist/nudist" roll without tan lines on the deckchair.

("Nahtlos braun" because, unlike many others, Bethke bakery's rolls don't have a white/light-coloured stripe in the middle).

The terrycloth danced from his knuckles to his elbows, sometimes lurching dangerously close to the foreheads of those in the front row, though never actually lashing someone in the face.
After a bit of posturing, Alex took a handful of snowballs from a platter, and deposited them on the igneous stones piled up across the room’s four stoves. As the ice turned to vapor, he ladled scoops of balsamic essential oils — sage and cypress — into the steam. Celtic music, as promised at the very start of the session, began to crescendo.
I sat back, not knowing what to think — and what a rarity that was, what a relief. Surrounded by flutes and fiddles, drowning in aromatics, sweating with purpose, and watching this talented man prance around like some sort of Saturnalia steward, I felt equal parts overwhelmed and relaxed. All hail aufguss...

Locals say the beach has been ruined after the National Trust removed the iconic beach hut.

Residents have said their picturesque seaside town has been ruined after the National Trust tore down their beloved cafe.
Little remains of the once thriving beach cafe at Middle Beach in Studland, Dorset, after the organisation tore down the building that had been there for more than a century.
Studland is home to a nudist beach, located on Knoll Beach spanning a 900m stretch of coastline.
Locals have shared their frustration at the cafe being removed as part of the National Trust's "managed retreat" coastal erosion drive.
It was a popular spot for hikers and dog walkers who would stop off for a tea or coffee while visiting the stunning coastline.
It was pulled down earlier this year due to being at risk of coastal erosion, making it a safety hazard. Locals hoped the conservation charity would put up sea defences, but instead they decided to tear down the entire building.
Residents have said they are confused by the decision, due to the cafe being located 100ft back and 20ft above the shoreline. Studland Parish Council tried to have the building listed but was unsuccessful...

Residents have said their picturesque seaside town has been ruined after the National Trust tore down their beloved cafe.
Little remains of the once thriving beach cafe at Middle Beach in Studland, Dorset, after the organisation tore down the building that had been there for more than a century.
Studland is home to a nudist beach, located on Knoll Beach spanning a 900m stretch of coastline.
Locals have shared their frustration at the cafe being removed as part of the National Trust's "managed retreat" coastal erosion drive.
It was a popular spot for hikers and dog walkers who would stop off for a tea or coffee while visiting the stunning coastline.
It was pulled down earlier this year due to being at risk of coastal erosion, making it a safety hazard. Locals hoped the conservation charity would put up sea defences, but instead they decided to tear down the entire building.
Residents have said they are confused by the decision, due to the cafe being located 100ft back and 20ft above the shoreline. Studland Parish Council tried to have the building listed but was unsuccessful...

‘It is very organised’: What it’s like inside Berlin’s health-boosting nudist clubs.
With the rise of wild swimming, forest bathing (traditionally known as going for a walk in the woods) and ‘Iceman’ Wim Hof's sub-zero philosophies, there is a definite trend for reestablishing bonds with the natural world across Europe.
And it isn’t confined to rural destinations. I’m planning a trip to Berlin in December so I turned to my local friend, Johan, to find out how I can get in on the trend.
He suggests that we check out the Helios Club, which he likes to visit after work or at weekends to relax. When I asked what it entails, he said it's a family-friendly community where members eat and drink, play sports and socialise or just walk around the club's woodland sucking up nature.
I replied in the affirmative, but I could hear a chuckle in Johan's voice. “You should probably know, being British, that it's an FKK club.”
I had no idea what that meant, but Johan, an accomplished musician with an urbane wit and a mischievous sense of humour, rarely invokes my nationality unless it is to imply some cultural shortcoming. I gulped before asking what exactly FKK meant.
His reply sent an unexpected shiver down my spine. “It's kind of a nudist club.”

Johan explained FKK, or Freikörperkultur, which translates as Free Body Culture, is a German tradition which dates back to the end of the 19th century. The bills, currently supported by about 21 Republicans but no Democrats, are a response to a young girl's photographed participation in the June event in Madison. Local police and prosecutors determined her participation did not violate any state laws.
"No Dane County prosecutor or Dane County judge is ever going to touch this with a 100-foot pole, because that's just the way we work up here. Where in our districts, it would probably be charged," said Rep. Todd Novak, R-Dodgeville.
One bill would change the language in state law from "indecent" exposure of genitals in public to simply "intentional" exposure, with exceptions for breastfeeding or diapering a baby.

A controversial southern naturist says he will not be taking any special measures to avoid public encounters, as he launches a new "clothing-optional" walking group in the Catlins this summer.
Gore farmer Lloyd Bonnar, who came to media attention in April after neighbours complained of his nude beach walks at Kaka Point, has advertised the Catlins Naked ’n Wild clothing-optional walking group in the Clutha Leader for the past three months.
Contacted by the Otago Daily Times yesterday, Mr Bonnar said he had been "happy" with the response to the adverts, and planned to lead the first walk for the new group this summer.
"We’ve had perhaps 30 to 40 inquiries, from right across the country.
"We’re really just waiting for an improvement in the weather before deciding on a date for our first walk."
Nude walking was highly weather-dependent, because of the risk of exposure in cold conditions, Mr Bonnar said.
The group was yet to choose a specific route, although it would not be ruling out any locations.
"People always have the option to look, or to say hello and pass on by."
He was unfazed by earlier concerns regarding his nude walks at Kaka Point during recent summers...

A controversial southern naturist says he will not be taking any special measures to avoid public encounters, as he launches a new "clothing-optional" walking group in the Catlins this summer.
Gore farmer Lloyd Bonnar, who came to media attention in April after neighbours complained of his nude beach walks at Kaka Point, has advertised the Catlins Naked ’n Wild clothing-optional walking group in the Clutha Leader for the past three months.
Contacted by the Otago Daily Times yesterday, Mr Bonnar said he had been "happy" with the response to the adverts, and planned to lead the first walk for the new group this summer.
"We’ve had perhaps 30 to 40 inquiries, from right across the country.
"We’re really just waiting for an improvement in the weather before deciding on a date for our first walk."
Nude walking was highly weather-dependent, because of the risk of exposure in cold conditions, Mr Bonnar said.
The group was yet to choose a specific route, although it would not be ruling out any locations.
"People always have the option to look, or to say hello and pass on by."
He was unfazed by earlier concerns regarding his nude walks at Kaka Point during recent summers...
