Completed the Quest.
Was able to vanquish the Quest nemesis Lord S with about five zaps from a wand of lightening mixed with strikes from Excalibur.
Now have the Quest artifacts.
Adventurer Xp14, AC -10.
Continuing to stash all weapons and loot into lock boxes, and slowly and carefully working my way down to Medusa, then Gehennom (hopefully). https://tnnt.org/player/mrflash818

My Lawful Dwarven Valkyrie is Xp14.
Did the first few levels of the quest.
Have a trap that is blocking further decent.
Need to find a source of long-lasting levitation *rueful sigh*
So am searching for a source of levitation for now. Have proceeded down to LVL22 or so, so far. No joy so far. -
Lawful Dwarven Valkyrie. Xp14.
Continuing to work on the Quest levels.
Trying to only eat the Giants in the Quest, to add strength to the Adventurer.
Trying to "Elbereth" or retreat otherwise.
When Satiated, then exiting the Quest and slowly carefully exploring LVLs below the Quest.

Gave magical offerings to the sapient container (swap chest).
Mostly wands.
Did #look, but did not find what I wanted, so took nothing out.
Did laps of explored levels, and would revisit and look to see if anything new that I needed would appear.
Finally, an uncursed ring of conflict was available, so selected it.
Was able to survive the Big Room by wearing the ring of conflict while searching for its downstair.
Found the downstair, and am making progress. -
#nethack #tnnt 2025-11-15 Doing another attempt with a Lawful Dwarven Valkyrie adventurer. Got stuck in the final level of sokoban for quite a while, before being able to exit and complete sokoban. Adventurer now Xp13. Have over 5200gold, finally. Hoping to ask the minetown priest for some protection. It's already mid-month. #nethack #tnnt 2025-11-07 ...and my Adventurer died. Was Xp13, roaming way down (too far) in LVL25. Wielding expert level Excalibur, but the RNG decided to not let me see a polymorph trap. *bamf!* was turned into a gray ooze. Troll came by, dispatched the Adventurer. *rueful sigh* So much for a promising run. Took a break, then back for another try.

My Lawful Dwarven Valkyrie found all the scrolls needed to be given to the DEV TEAM. Was rewarded with a Really Cool T-Shirt.
Put it on.
Nice! Gives warning, like the Quest Artifacts do.
Adventurer is still not yet Xp14, so continuing to roam around. Focused on finding moving and stashing loot into the lockbox that is on the Tyr Altar level (LVL 20 for this game).
Once the Adventurer reaches Xp14, can begin the Quest.

#nethack #tnnt 2025-11-06 Lawful Dwarven Valkyrie is still Xp12. Finally found a Tyr Altar and priest below the Quest and below the Rogue level. Was able to offer 4800gold and get some protection. The level also has lock boxes, so can stash loot there. Will start to xfer all the loot to the Tyr altar level lock boxes, and keep obtaining as much protection as the gold will allow.

#nethack #TNNT 2025-11-05 My Lawful Dwarven Valkyrie is now Xp12. Found the Quest entrance. Found the sapient container (swap chest) in a level below the Quest entrance. Found the Rogue level, and entrance to the Dev Team. Gave the Dev Team the two scrolls of RETURN TO DEV TEAM. Now just basically roaming around, awaiting getting to Xp14 so my Adventurer can begin the Quest.

It's nice that I can casually follow #tnnt via the #nethack tag on mastodon. I don't have to check leaderboards and teams, it's just nice to read that people are competing sokoban, dipping for Excalibur, raiding shops etc. I really appreciate it.
(No, don't even try to get me to play on the tournament. I haven't played for years and I have so little time that the only achievement I might be able to get would be number of deaths, if that is still a thing.)

Retrieved the luckstone. Completed sokoban and found an amulet of reflection. Lawful Dwarven Valkyrie is now Xp 10. Next will be gaining experience until Adventurer is Xp 14, and can begin the Quest. #tnnt #nethack https://tnnt.org/player/mrflash818
