#tinydelights for Monday:
1. scrambled eggs on soft corn tortillas, piled with fresh greens and cilantro, for breakfast
2. A morning walk in a steady, musical rain
3. Finding music to inspire me while I do mindful, devotional housekeeping tasks (today it's Kitka). -
#tinydelights for Sunday:
1. a cloudy day with potential for a rainy week after lots of warm, dry weather
2. flower buds on the oceanspray bush mean beautiful blooms soon
3. looking at pictures of my yard in 2018 vs. yesterday. I have a long way to go but WOW I've come so far .... Many of the bare areas are beds I just started creating this year, so by fall hopefully they'll be full of plants. -
Tiny delights this Friday morning:
1. got another section of my woodchip path laid this morning, before the day got warm! That's another chunk of lawn down.
2. Had the loveliest walk with a friend at the wetlands yesterday, and the wild roses have started blooming!
3. chicken salad for second breakfast -
Tiny delights for Thursday:
1. A new secret project, which I've been mulling over for a while, is starting to take shape
2. I have so much calendula in the garden. There's never too much calendula.

1. a productive virtual writing session with my friend
2. dried apricots
3. a soft breeze on a pleasantly cool morning -

1. a big pot of chicken broth simmering on the stove, making the whole house smell so goooood
2. getting caught up on laundry
3. doing my daily tasks at a deliberately slow pace. -
Tiny delights the Friday morning:
1. my studio smells of hawthorn flowers and garden sage
2. delicious ahi tuna, cooked by my wife, for supper tonight
3. the farmers market is open for the season! -
Tiny delights on a Wednesday:
1. picking hawthorn flowers and leaves in glorious early morning light
2. coming back to a hot cup of roasted dandelion root tea ... it was cold out there!
3. so many birds singing -
Tiny delights this Tuesday morning:
1. all the hawthorns in the mini forest are blooming profusely
2. the marshmallow roots a friend gave me are starting to have the teeniest, tiniest little green bits. I definitely squealed at them when I saw them today.
3. It rained last night and the air smells fantastic -
Tiny delights this Monday morning:
1. decreasing the quantity of my online engagement to free up spoons for self care and passion projects
2. crock pot chicken tikka masala for supper
3. finishing a big project in the front garden I've been meaning to do for ages. -
Tiny delights this Sunday morning:
1. seeing a vibrant patch of camas on my morning walk
2. while clearing a bed so I could plant new babies, a tiny goldfinch landed on a dandelion stem a few feet away and had a little feast of dandelion seeds while I watched.
3. having a whole week ahead of me with no appointments and few errands. -
Tiny delights for Saturday:
1. a local plant swap where everyone just rolls up, sets their plants on the ground, and everyone takes what they want. I got some lovely elecampane plants, a sweet little sedum, and a tiny baby chamomile.
2. Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer on my headphones helping me get the dishes done.
3. Reacting to a ginormous, fuzzy mullein plant with some serious cute aggression. ("OMG it's so fuzzyyyyyyyyyy aaaaaaaah") -
Tiny delights for Friday morning:
1. I got my trunk full of wood chips spread out before the sun came out, so I got to work in the cool morning air
2. The western meadow rue I planted a year or two ago is absolutely thriving, and making tiny babies!
3. enjoying tea and second breakfast after hauling wood chips. -
tiny delights for today:
1) i did laundry so i have clean clothes
2) i distilled 3 gallons of water, so i have clean water
3) it thunderstormed with buckets of rain, so i've got clean grass. 😆
bonus) the birds are back! i can hear them twittering outside.

Tiny delights on this ... (checks calendar) Thursday:
1. Getting another big section of lawn prepared to become a wood chip path.
2. Resting with a mug of nettle infusion after wearing myself preparing that section of lawn.
3. Envisioning what my yard will look like some day when I've completed this huge project. -
Tiny Delights for Friday morning:
1. sleeping late (late, for me, being about 7:30 a.m.)
2. tamales with beans, arugula, watercress, and avocado for breakfast
3. warm enough weather to open my window early in he morning. -
Tiny delights this Thursday morning:
1. receiving a hand drawn, hand sewn zine, created by one of my favorite people - for once, something I actually WANT in my mailbox.
2. the hawthorn tree I planted at the beginning of 2020 has their first blooms about to open! I'm so excited.
3. tea in the garden with a friend, chatting like magpies and losing track of time. -
