Oh god, I looked it up and this “dream arc” goes all the way from episode 11 to episode 18!
Episodes 1–10 were great - I’d probably give it 9/10 (it lost a point on inconsistent FX). We’re now only around 2/3 through the dream arc and it’s plummeted to 7/10. This entire arc feels unnecessary- it *is* telling us a lot about the last war, but that could probably have been done with a single flashback episode.

CW: Till The End of the Moon Episode 14
That farewell night felt super out of character (and rapey 🤮). Again, very glad these aren’t actually the main characters, but merely showing the past events that led us here. Thankfully we’ve now moved on the the last battle with the demon lord and things are much more interesting again. We will officially pretend the last couple of episodes did not exist.

I’m so ready to throw hands. If this wasn’t a dream sequence and the main characters were actually behaving like this, I’d probably quit the show. As it is, I want to slap these dumbass past lives. Once this sequence is over we better get back to the main characters being amazing.

We’re about 1/4 in and I love this show. It’s so nice to see Bai Lu and Luo Yun Xi together again - they have great chemistry and this story is suitably epic.
It’s clear the FX department had to pick and choose which scenes to spend the money (the quality varies wildly), but it’s never bad enough to ruin the show and genuinely cool at times.

I’ve started Till The End Of The Moon.
I like the very sci-fi magic. The opening episode was a bit heavy-handed, but fun. Still, I feel the show didn’t really find its feet until after the apocalyptic opening - I’m now on ep 3 and it’s really sucking me in.

I just _can't_ with the Scheming Scorn Woman trope. I hate it with the fire of a thousand suns. Both because the behaviour itself is mean, but also because it's such a stinky depiction of women. And I can't in any way see what the appeal is to keep a trope like that in a story. It's just ugly!
I need to see if I can find a written summary of the episodes online, because I can't watch beyond this point.

Me: _40_ episodes. That's more like it! Guess I won't binge ep 16 to 24 today, though...
