Laten wij onze studenten ondersteunen in hun strijd voor het breken van alle banden tussen Tilburg Universiteit en de genocidale staat Israël. Komende donderdag, in plaats van de wekelijkse sit-in op het station gaan wij ons aansluiten bij PST (het Tilburgse studenten collectief voor solidariteit met Palestina) op het universiteitsterrein waar zij een sit-in zullen houden op een geplande universitair evenement.
De sit-in zal gehouden worden om 14:45 buiten de aula van het Cobbenhagen gebouw.
Kom aub ook en neem zoveel mogelijk mensen mee.
(De sit-in op Tilburg Centraal gaat donderdag dus NIET door.)
Het is belangrijk dat wij onze studenten ondersteunen in hun gevecht tegen het beleid van Tilburg Universiteit die vooralsnog de banden met Israëlische instanties niet wil verbreken. Israëlische universiteiten spelen een grote rol in het gen0c1d@le geweld tegen het Palestijnse volk.-----

Ah kijk, nog eentje. Mooi! Alleen kleinere universiteiten durven het aan. Helaas niet op individueel niveau. Het is natuurlijk nog steeds bizar dat individuele Russen en Iraniërs wel worden geweigerd, maar Israëlische individuen niet. Laten we echter blij zijn met elke positieve stap.

"Tilburg University schort de samenwerking op met twee Israëlische universiteiten. Dat meldt de Brabantse universiteit in een persbericht. Het gaat om de Bar-Ilan Universiteit en Reichman University nabij Tel Aviv.
Het besluit volgt op een advies van een universiteitscommissie van vorig jaar december. De commissie van vier hoogleraren adviseerde toen dat Tilburg University de samenwerking met Israëlische universiteiten moest stopzetten. De conclusie luidde dat er een "onlosmakelijke band" bestaat tussen de partneruniversiteiten in Israël en de Israëlische krijgsmacht.

Two days ago, our Senate voted to accept the new Education budget, which includes a 1.2 billion budget cut on higher education. In addition to striking today, Tilburg University is fighting their budget cuts in court, arguing that these budget cuts go against an agreement from 2022 about funding of higher education for the next decade.

Tilburg University now has its own beers (!?). (Made by the local brewery "013") I sampled the #alcoholfree "Decaan" (0.4%) and I'm pleased to report it's an interesting one. There's a scent & taste of guava, and a pleasing complexity to the taste, all of which I'm attributing to the added elderflower. Not bad at all, 7/10 . #beer #tilburg #TilburgUniversity
