@dansup I don’t know where to find this info, so here goes the question:

When I try to upload a video, I’m limited to 60 seconds or less. My guess is that this is intentional.

Is there a way to increase this? The most relevant videos I want to share are longer. Usually under two minutes, but longer than one.

Sound opinions. I liked this one. Thoughts?

Part 4: I want to exist in a world where everyone is able to exist and take up space as who they are. Where everyone is supported and cared for; valued. Where bodily autonomy and safety are protected. Where food and water and air are clean, plentiful, and shared. I believe in this possibility.

What do you imagine is a possibility for the future? What do you want for this world and your existence? #lgbtqia #trans #nonbinary #iexist #tiktokrefugee

Part 3: Was it ever a possibility? Or maybe that is a delusion they want me to believe? That it was never a possibility? I heard a wise person say that the people who want to oppress us want us to focus on all the bad things they could do to us. If thats what we are focused on, we can't imagine and create what we want it to be like. #lgbtqia #trans #nonbinary #iexist #tiktokrefugee

Part 2: I want to take up space. I want to exist. I've spent the majority of my life wishing that i didn't have to exist. It feels a little cruel - finally healing my desire to exist and then being told that i can't exist. A bit ironic. I have fought hard to exist, as I am, out loud in the open, and I thought I could at least bring my kids to a world where they would never have to hide and now that feels like a delusion. #lgbtqia #trans #nonbinary #iexist #tiktokrefugee

Part 1: She is lovingly referred to as "the witch tree" by my family. I often go to her when I need comfort and strength. I NEED comfort and strength. I think we all do. I have parts of me that want to run and hide, try to cover up my "oddities" and fit in. But I have more parts of me that have grown and changed their shape and I just don't fit back into that persona or character. I couldn't without cutting off large parts of me. I refuse. #lgbtqia #trans #nonbinary #iexist #tiktokrefugee

@pitrouillesque another thing is.

That you had to actively engage with the people who decide to move to the platform.

So in my initial video I told people to use the #tiktokrefugee

And also to use the #introduction.

I'm now following those hashtags and I'm actively interacting with the people.

They are not used to mastodon's way of building a feed.

Which is unlike any other algorithm out there.

In that, you are the person who is solely responsible for curating your feed.

So today on #tiktok, I saw someone post a #video looking at this same location on Google Maps (539 N Mission Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90033)

The video was removed in the last few hours or so. I created my own to share. I assume something like this won't get taken down on Mastodon?

Anyway, this is very concerning. The words "HELP", "TRAFICO", and "LAPD" are written on the ground very close to a shipping container yard.

Thoughts?

I know this book has been shared often on social media lately. I just wanted to let people know there's also a graphic novel version.

I'm surprised by the lack of understanding new users are having when it comes to how the services/apps are fully controlled by a singular entity/business. I guess it's just an observation I'm getting from all those #tiktokrefugee users who feel like they are getting screwed by the current system in place. Welcome to #America. #LandOfTheSlave. #WeThePeople don't own anything. Corporate does. We all live in a #capitalistic world. Use your money wisely. Spend it elsewhere.

Lets use #HelpNetwork for info that uplifts, supports, & empowers.
This is not abt money. It’s abt making a community where we share resources, tips, & tools to lift each other up, to create something meaningful that makes a real difference in our lives.

The hyper-individualism they ground into us isolates us. It’s time to break it down. Together we can spark something powerful.

I manage people's IT.

Live in the very tippy top of Texas. (Cowboy IT Guy).

I make money by fixing people's computers and managing their it stuff. Also create business applications and automation.

All my operating systems are Linux. I have contract customers who use Linux desktop. And I also have the Windows desktop users unfortunately. Whatever makes people happy.

If you have any questions about IT. (How make printer print?!?!?)

Hit me up.

@codinghorror I'm actively making videos on TikTok to point people to use Mastodon.

The recent #tiktok ban woke up something in the people. It showed them that having centralized social media be your outlet. Is not a good idea.

Decentralized platforms are the future.

I am curious how sustainable the model of depending on donations from users to keep a server up and running is going to be.
