@dansup I don’t know where to find this info, so here goes the question:

When I try to upload a video, I’m limited to 60 seconds or less. My guess is that this is intentional.

Is there a way to increase this? The most relevant videos I want to share are longer. Usually under two minutes, but longer than one.

So today on #tiktok, I saw someone post a #video looking at this same location on Google Maps (539 N Mission Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90033)

The video was removed in the last few hours or so. I created my own to share. I assume something like this won't get taken down on Mastodon?

Anyway, this is very concerning. The words "HELP", "TRAFICO", and "LAPD" are written on the ground very close to a shipping container yard.

Thoughts?

The recent #tiktok ban woke up something in the people. It showed them that having centralized social media be your outlet. Is not a good idea.

Decentralized platforms are the future.

I am curious how sustainable the model of depending on donations from users to keep a server up and running is going to be.
