I have installed some really good, and simple-to-configure #Linux #software lately - I am looking at you #Wordpress #MediaWiki and #TikiWiki

#NextCloud is absolutely not one of these. Not even slightly close.

I don't have enough room for the dislike I have of this, but:

DROP DATABASE nextcloud;

Will suffice.

Sadly, now I need an alternative :P

Filed an enhancement request in #TikiWiki to honor the web browser's "prefers-reduced-motion" #accessibility setting and automatically disable non-essential animations when #a11y requests it: https://dev.tiki.org/item8582

Would be great if typical #WordPress theme builders honored that setting too.

That was pretty simple, although the documentation on the site was pretty dire.

It's a standalone non privileged install (as long as you can create a database table and user).

It seems to do a lot.

Should be fun :)

I am pondering updating one of my Mediawiki installs to Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware - Does anyone have any "NO DON'T DO THAT!" type feedback? Basically, I need some granular privileges on one of them so that seems easier than fighting with Mediawiki extensions which I have had to do in the past.

Ideally I'd prefer it to install locally rather than system wide so it's easier for someone else to manage - I suppose I should just suck it and see.

I can wholeheartedly recommend #TiddlyWiki - easy peasy, you can just start using it, place the one file in your #webhosting environment, etc.

I think if you just start off playing with the #Tiddly family, you'll be more than pleasantly surprised and it will grow and morph to your own requirements.

Nowadays I write and store all my notes everywhere in #Markdown format using Gedit or GNOME Text Editor; Markdown really has become the ultimate rich text interchange format! I can reuse/paste my notes into #Kanboard, #TikiWiki, and @EvolutionGnome's built-in "Markdown as HTML" #email composer feature. This has skyrocketed my productivity ☺️
