  4. And there it is. 🥰

The first tiffany option for the round frame is ready.

  5. The next stage for making a tiffany volcano: the endless postponement of soldering. Because after that it should be perfect…right? 🫣

I had a gap of 5mm between glass sheets, so had to redo a piece (for a second time 😇). Then I had to peel the copper tape from another piece for some fitting (to my colleagues who doubted the stickiness of the foil: don’t worry 🥴).

    Pfff 😥

  6. While the volcano in #Iceland is erupting again, I am still making my glass version of one.

Today, I bought a white marker to draw on the glass. Cutting is not always really neat, but I do grind the edges before applying the foil.
And, well, just trust the process (hell no, but I do like the saying 🫣).

  7. Normally, I have a silver or gold marker to draw the shape on darker glass. Especially essential now I use dark brown and black glass. Guess what I can’t find…? 😖

Added the first copper foils. I just pretend to know what I am doing (needed Google as I had forgot something) 🤭🤫

  8. Cutting pieces en placing them in a temporary mould, to be sure to get the right size. Hope this works… 🤔
Now a little break and waiting for the groceries and rain. ⛈️⚡️

  9. Next step, I put the drawing in Illustrator, tweaked a little and printed it (old printer).
Then I can cut the pieces with special scissors (can you see what it does?).

And then find the the colours I need. Dark blue, lighter blue, transparent or not? White or maybe greyish for the smoke? 🤷‍♀️

  10. Here I go again. 👋🏼
Going to make a small tiffany panel for the frame I got. It’s a bit different than stained glass (NL: glas in lood), been many years since I did a tiny piece which did not go so well, and feeling insecure about how to do it. 😟

    So, enjoy my attempt 😊

The design is already older, inspired by a volcano in #Iceland.
