Hard afternoon in the garden, mowing the lawns (where it isn't to wet), pruned and cleaned most of the pots, planted Buxus in two rustic plant pots, cut back and cleaned the hellebores, admired shooting plants and early colours, before heading inside to read and get ideas on what I'm doing tomorrow

Starting to clear out a couple of decades of accumulated bumf on my computer desk, prior to slotting in my new desktop. It’s like archaeology with stratigraphy. Fairly near the top are loads of #Irish #genealogy BMD certificates as I traced my great granny. Then further back in time, thru my #Dundee Uni #PhD and my research assistant work. Even found my original AHRB award letter. Will continue another day. It’s a huge task, and I’m really weak. But it is good to get it done. #TidyingUp #Tidying

(3) I've been putting my library in some order. I have something like 5000 books in my house and during the pandemic about 2000 of them have spread to cover just about every available surface : stalagmites of books in my reading cave.
I don't have a system. Because I have a spatial memory, it doesn't matter what order my books are in as long as none of them moves six inches to the right.
The object is to get them back on shelves. This could be traumatic.
