When it comes to performance debugging, there are a wide variety of tools available. The last years, I searched for one that is actually easily usable and provides easy access in identifying bottlenecks.

There are some that are specific to WordPress, e.g. as plugins, some allow general performance debugging via PHP and some require a PHP extension to be loaded. I’ll cover all of these types in the following article.

5:40 in the morning. It‘s cold at the railway station. My head is kept warm by @beberlei‘s #Tideways wool cap.

@ocramius the excellent #tideways has sourced what might be the issue - DynamoDB session storage. Seems the curl request to this is taking a couple hundred milliseconds and that's on basically every request. Not sure how that's different in php8 though

How can the #Tideways "Deployment Events" feature be used in a CI pipeline with #Deployer? I've covered the steps needed in our latest @bitexpert blog post.
