Although the sky was mostly overcast, it was warm and the flowers were beautiful as usual. And, of course, it was busy!

My sister just told me she's going to see the #TidalBasin #CherryTrees next week, because they'll be peaking in blossoms.
Ahe ALSO said that the park service will be making 3 years of repairs to the tidal basin and will be DIGGING UP AND REMOVING the cherry trees during that time!
Get yer pictures now, folks, these may never look the same again!! Wow. That's a lot of big trees being removed.
Hope to see an article about what they plan to do, and how.

"Meet Me At Our Bench" An old favorite from 2011. We'd gone into DC after a snow storm from the night before, but there wasn't much left of the white stuff. Still, we got there early enough to where I could get lots of shots without bobbing and weaving around the other tourists.
