Although the sky was mostly overcast, it was warm and the flowers were beautiful as usual. And, of course, it was busy!

Farewell Stumpy the Cherry Blossom Tree

It was by itself, on the edge of the water, and looked like it shouldn't be alive but somehow was. This tree has become known as Stumpy! This is Stumpy's last year in bloom as he is going to be removed to repair this area of the Tidal Basin.
